The Dps gems are some of the most uninteresting content I have seen in wow. Its a step in the right direction and definitely better than nothing. Imagine how exiting it will be to upgrade your 2,75% dps increase gem to 3%. As a dps im happy about every damage increase, but those amounts are just underwhelming. I would rather have no upgrades and get the 3% immediately, than waiting for weeks just to get some 0.25% upgrades. The current system is better for players who dont get a maw socket or gem in the first few weeks, since the power of the gems scale with time/until all of your gems are maxed out.Overall a welcome addition. If hope future raids have a similar system with some more creative gems.
They do work in the raid. It's considered inside The Maw/Torghast.
Make those shards drop from everywhere not just raids
This yes this is good for raiders something to get and work to but without forcing M+ only players to raid gj best of both worlds.
I have to say that I do not entirely understand this design choice. The set is only active inside Maw/Raid/Torghast.So what's the point of it exactly? Does it mean they have designed raid bosses around having these gems slotted in properly, providing you the necessary boost to your character that you will need to down them? This sounds like quite the convoluted way of progress checking us.It's also quite the downer that I will have to spend time gathering all the gems, and whatever else is needed to socket them into, only to benefit from the set for 6 hours per week inside our raid, since we only raid 2 days per week. The rest of the time these gems will be some minor boost to dmg, so for the majority of my playtime. In general the idea is neat but why limit the gem's actual use case only to the Raid? Just allow us to do all content with the set so that we can actually use them to strategize new ways of doing M+, or whatever...
what a crap more borrowed useless powers
set bonuses interract with class abilities and rotations and can be made interesting, this generic #$%^ never will be. but blizzard is on a budget drought of a half dead old cow, they only can afford one set per expansion now, at the last content patch probably, to bait more subs
People did not want to have to raid for PvP gear, people did not want to have to do M+ for BiS raiding gear (and vice versa), people didn't want to have to PvP for raid gear. This does that. Raid gear should be best in raid because of these slots. PvP gear (because of these changes coupled with PvP gear changes) will be best in PvP. If you're a pure M+ player, you don't feel as much like you're missing gear by not raiding as a big component of its power only works in the raid.People didn't want to *have* to do all three major end game activities, they wanted the gear from the one they enjoy to be best for that thing. These existing and only working in Maw areas works to address that.
I call BS
These gems are a pretty good idea. Think about it before mindlessly qqing. This means that raiders needs to focus on raid gear and not being forced to do m+. Especially with m+ becomming a lot more obnoxious to do in 9.1.
Do people not know how to read the 3pc is in raids, maw(including korthia), and torg so not pvp. The indivudual shards will work in pvp but you would never take them over actual pvp gear if your rating is high enough and if your rating isnt it doesnt matter cause the pvp gear isnt whats holding you back.
I dont understand this gearing at all? for what class for for what gem I dont get it.?
