This game is starting to be a bad joke. I had doubts whether to play 9.1 or not (I haven't stopped playing since 2.0) but, imho, wow pve is really going south really quickly
I might actually run these just for fun now. >.>
So. This means that anyone who plays mainly M+ is just plainly getting !@#$ed. It's basically Blizzard saying: "We'll just balance classes for raids, and turn WoW into a Roguelite in any other endgame content". As someone who plays exclusively M+, this affix would mean that I don't get to play my class anymore. What's the point of this?
I'm thankful that it seems like the affix, similar to Pride, comes with a buff component. Dissimilar to Pride can the Dev Team make sure everything we fight in M+ gives count? Feels bad to spend that time in combat for 0 count, even when it does come with a buff that feels good to use. But how to trigger it? If it's just a copy of Pride's 20%'s that is "okay" but getting kinda boring. They could be hanging out in the world like Azshara's minions were, forcing you to confront them in some situations. Or what I think more interesting is have them similar to the Obelisks from Nyalotha's season. Have them be something players choose where and when to trigger for the performance boost.Going into SL S2, I was really worried about doing some of the bosses and pulls we do today at higher levels without Pride buff. Seeing that the new affix also has a buff component makes me a little less worried about the state of SL S2.
this might be fun like the one that was in BFA doing N'zoth time, the portal skips
Mythic+ should be unpredictable, i hate the current meta of creating the most efficient routes and the seasonal affix being a boring stat boost/change, anima powers actually makes mythics have a difference every time you run, this sounds awesome and is the right way to go, now we just need randomized affixes on our keys and we will be good :)Very good blizzard!
Wowhead mines a single sentence saying that the season 2 affix will include buffs, posts an opinion piece about it maybe being torghast powers and everyone loses their minds...Clearly the bolded "speculation" wasn't good enough to show people that you guys were literally just guessing and there's no evidence whatsoever that this will be the affix.
so now were gona have to deal with random rng buffs that will make or break a run. amazing blizzard. i was glad we were not gona see prideful anymore but this looks even worse.
This just sounds terrible
at least the casuals who dont push keys seem happy.... anyone who pushes M+ is pretty sketched by the idea of just getting screwed in a key by &*!@ty power rolls..... no thanks....
The only reason people are still playing M+ is to test thereselves against the insatnce. Dont make it an RnG waste of time ... it wil completely put people off running them. Will it also kill the esports TGMKP and MDI? whats the point if your win is determined on who got the s tier powers. That being said, it could be good flavor if it was added into keys 10 or below, or just into normal, heroic and M0. but removed at a certain level and replaced with a different M+ affix to replace pride thats not RNG. Something that mixes up routing is generally welcomed. I think the above mentioned affix changing at +10 would be welcomed by both casual and key pushing players but blizzard seems to have a disconnect from the player base and i fear they might lose the top end if its implemented wrong.
I doubt this is a good idea. Sounds neat on paper, but thats it
I doubt they will do this on an RNG basis. The S4 affix of BFA had those pillars in a set location each week. They could easily tether certain powers to mobs in set locations on weekly rotations. That system would also make it easier for them to keep it from getting out of hand.
