Survival has some use for arcane shot when forced out of melee range but it is kind of a travesty for BM to get it. It will act as a trap for inexperienced players. Lots of unprunes are like that, unfortunately. Even if HM means hunters do 5% less damage, I'm totally cool with that. If the class needed to be nerfed, at least they did it in such a way that it feels better to play!
How the !@#$ did they change revive pet into 4 sec cast but Warlock demons are still 6 sec!
Thanks Blizz, for completely rendering my favorite returned Hunter class ability, useless! No way is this going to be used as justification for another prune come 10.0. What an absolute garbage decision. I was so happy at Blizzcon, learning HM was returning. Thank you for kowtowing to the vocal minority who don't know how to properly play.
You continue to not think before one speaks.Given the relatively short cool down of Cloak for Rogues, by the time they have to resort to hugging a pillar in BGs or arena Cloak is likely off cool down or near it. The only two classes that have some form of stealth are mages and hunters. Mages being the only place where it'll shine given they can't remove it and they only use invis for escape. Hunters...it'll depend on what the situation calls for as camo is a talent.If they're gonna remove the only good part about the ability they might as well make it do something else useful outside of two situations.And as for Arcane shot for BM/Survival.....well I do question why survival even has it given it's melee.

I always forgot to use Hunter's Mark anyway. If I ever bothered, target switching became more of a pain. Just wasn't a good feeling button. They'll probably bump up the overall damage of hunters accordingly.
Finally a good HM change they might need to tune the 5% single target loss but probably not.Considering marks is really strong as is and since it only buffed hunter damage not pet damage.HM was already nearly completely useless for BM and SV due to those specs rely a fair bit on pet damage.Now they just need to rework true shot as its really counter intuitive the way it is now.When you pop its like the game is telling you to try and use as many aimed shots as possible.But doing so is actually a dps loss using it changes nothing with your rotation you just just cap aimed charges.Simple fix just give it a flat % haste bonus and maybe just bake in the 30% less focus cost leggo in to it or have it boost your focus regain by a set %Maybe reduce the overall cost of most MM abilities while they are at it cause the game play it self is awful atm.Super spiky burst damage with a lot of down time where your waiting for cd's and focus regain

I seriously doubt he actually plays a hunter, otherwise he would be upset by the change like I am. I guess the only silver-lining is that frees up another space on my bars...

No, it just means Hunters will be balanced around not having the 5% damage buff from Mark. Essentially before, hunters were doing 95% damage if they didn't apply the mark as they are expected to. This means in AoE and multi-target situations many of your GCDs would be taken up applying hunter's mark to do maximum dps.
