Doesnt look like Shadowlands. Just another planet in Nethertwist like Outland. Maybe rename it to the Lightlands or Prosperlands accroding to the some introduced zones
You kind of get that Exodar's "huge and empty" feeling. I'm not sure I like it.
I love how otherworldly it looks.
the last floor to Arbitor, looks like a boss floor to me, getting Azshara floor vibes.
Very empty, although I guess the addition of NPCs, a bit more furniture here and there, and hundreds of players will solve that
There are other things in an afterlife, while I love doom and gloom.. there are happy parts, so this is one of those scenarios. There are no NPCs or anything else around atm. It's just the structure which is a huge floating tower in the middle of this giant sky (based on photos and streams). Relax man.
Um this looks like the version of the undercity but in the shadowlands..why does blizzard love circles so much there are other shapes they can use such as the octogon..or a triangle..even squares..what about a nice rectangle for a change
It feels too empty and weirdly cold. Not a place I want to be as my home base.
I think a gnome shrank all the doodads and people as a prank for the pictures
I guess it can't be worse than Zuldazar.
Let's just say: I'm not a fan.
How big is Oribos compared to Undercity or Ironforge, cities with somewhat simmilar shape and layout?
As it is I find it very boring. Alpha is alpha, but looking at Oribos's design I don't know how much they can add to it without changing the base structure.
I can't say I'm disappointed because in the end I think I like it, but meh. I imagined a city like Shattrath or Dalaran, so like an actual city with buildings, squares, streets and stuff like that, while this is just a big floating castle with rooms and halls for npcs, just like Shrines in MoP. I imagined this as a great city ready to welcome every wanderer of the Shadowlands, a refuge for everyone who needs a place to call home, just like Shattrath in Outlands. I don't know, I can say I like it but it's very very different from what I imagined when they described it at Blizzcon.
Yeah, I was hoping for a grand city with nooks and crannies and an interesting layout.. I hope this is just the hub for the core game elements and that there's a lot more to Oribos we're not seeing yet, because if this is it, it's particularly uninspired. It's okay to build elements for immersion that serve no other purpose or game function, Blizz... something for roleplayers and explorers to really sink their teeth into. Some day I'd love to see a city with the sort of size and layout of the Monk class order hall, like Suramar or Boralus but without having to deal with aggro NPCs for questing elements. :)
