Today we will take a look at the DPS balance in Sepulcher of the First Ones during the second week of Patch 9.2.5! For this analysis we will use data provided by
Warcraft Logs Mythic Sepulcher of the First Ones statistics
.
Warcraft Logs' Sepulcher of the First Ones Statistics Page
Disclaimers and Source
The data for this article was taken from the
Sepulcher of the First Ones Statistics Page on Warcraft Logs
for Mythic difficulty in the week of June 7th. We will be looking at data for the 95th percentile, plus showing the overall results to paint a better picture.
The idea of this article is to give a perspective of the current state of class balance for Season 3, meaning this is an
incomplete picture of season 3 balance
.
We say perspective, as there are inherent biases in looking at the data this way.
Specs that are considered underpowered are generally played less and tend to appear weaker than they actually are.
This happens as many performance-oriented players will tend to play the strongest spec or class, increasing even further the gap between top and bottom specs.
Position of specs for the 95th percentile might be skewed by alternative strategies and parse funneling. For that, we're including the chart showing the result for all percentiles to paint a better picture for all specs.

The WoW team is completely incompetent and refuses to balance their own game.
Sometimes they try, but they do it in the most lazy & incompetent way. +20% more damage to skills or overall to an underperforming spec? that doesn't solve the underlying issue of the class, it just makes a bad class do slightly more damage. They need meaningful buffs, additions, and changes that makes them play better, not just do more damage.
Like my ww Monk example, instead of just giving them 20% more single target damage, just make tiger palm deal more and more damage the more its used on the same target so it doesn't feel like this puny weak combo-generator you use inbetween other abilities. It wouldn't stack if you palm twice in a row, you have to alternate abilities still, and cap at a respectable amount of damage, at least slightly better than blackout kick after enough stacks.
Ww main here, the Buffs we got is plenty, there's underlying issues though with the spec for sure, spinning crane kick alone is overly bloated and the buffs caused our fists of fury and rising sun kick do almost insane amounts of damage. I troll top single target specs all the time in raid doing top dps.

I know I'm probably gonna ruffle some feathers with this comment but, You guys do realize these dps charts are for current content MYTHIC difficulty. Not everyone who plays is gonna see current content mythic difficulty. The average player is gonna play what they want, so what if they want to play a balance druid, so what if they want to play a BM hunter, that's their choice cause they like the class. They shouldn't have to be forced to play the class they don't want to, yet feel they have to, to avoid being ridiculed for playing a LESS THAN PERFECT spec.
This is the real reason why so many people have left WoW, it's all the elitists that keep saying, 'Oh if you don't play <Insert spec here> you are a bad player who doesn't know how to play. Prime example, Reckful, played a subtlety rogue when the top rogue spec was assassination, and hit the high ranks DESPITE PLAYING AN INFERIOR SPEC.
What I'm saying is, to those who play what they want, play what you want, and don't let those elitists tell you that you aren't good enough... Be like Reckful and prove them wrong.
As someone who ONLY plays Affliction, thank you. I may not win everytime on the meters, but I've absolutely curbstomped some similarly geared Destro and Demon 'locks in both raid and M+.
I'm far from a top player, but you don't want to take along someone because "DURHURRR WRONG SPEC URRRRRR" you can go do some very unsavory things with a sausage and a backside.
I get needing to fill that last place in group with a Venthyr, or "gotta go fast", and that's fine. Don't be a $%^&*! at every turn though.
