Ele Shaman are in the exact same position as fury warriors, great overall damage, but lacking burst, yet, no mention of the spec in the article.DPS Shaman in general need some big help as it's near impossible to get into pug keys unless you're resto even with a 1300 ele io....
Note, when they say well played warriors, I assume they are talking about me. I parse in the 90's and almost match the iLvl of our highest players. I'm consistently 1k dps+ underneath them. I'm brought into the raid because of my shout and rallying cry but also because I parse very well. I can keep up yes, but I'm still way below other classes damage. It shouldn't take an entire expansion and at the end of it, to have my Fury warrior match or exceed others dps.
That population size would be higher if MM was not the go-to.99% of hunters it feels like are MM solely because it is the the best. Also, survival does work as melee, its just overshadowed by the easiness of BM and the powerhouse that is MM. Survival is still very competitive with BM and MM if you know what you're doing with it.
What happens when Blizzard listens to kids scream "nerf x class" when those classes relied heavily on borrowed powerOh and making affixes completely anti-melee
Anyone else take away from the list above is that the DPS is all incredibly close? The gap between the very top and bottom is not that great, atleast with how they are represented in the chart. Thoughts?
And Blizzard does NOTHING, while their game is broken and entire classes get discriminated against and are never desirable.Remove utility from Hunters and Druids and shift it other classes and nerf Fire Mage Aoe and survivability.
This lack of class diversity isn't because of a pure lack of DPS potential (lots of classes/specs have the potential to do good DPS like feral druid or destro lock)... it's literally only because of the effects of the M+ community's opinions and subsequent spec stigma. M+ has changed a lot since legion; in my opinion, it's only changed for the worse. Back in legion, when M+ was brand new, people had less of this class/spec stigma and instead focused on just playing. Nowadays, you're either playing a certain spec or you're getting kicked out of groups. Want to do a key? Get a mage, but make sure they're fire, or else you just kick them. Get a druid, but make sure they're balance, or they get a kick. Is your key easily 2-chestable but you wipe one time to a mistake (that's recoverable with plenty of time)? Sorry, someone's bound to leave the group and ruin the key for everyone else. One of my good friends is so passionate about his frost mage that he tried doing keys since M+ S1 launch, but got stuck, sad, and gave up. M+ is and has always been my favorite form of WoW content. I took a passion in it because it was the most fun to me, but it's so heartwrenching to see how toxic the M+ community has become over this. I've ranted about this to my friends before, but in my opinion, the insurgence of raider.io and the constant ranking you get for doing literally everything has created this toxicity. You're judged by a number, your spec, your class, your legendary, your conduits, and your covenant. People see your spec and kick you. You either get judged or you're nothing, so a horrible sense of competition becomes apparent and you're forced to do ranked content at all possible times (push weeks, etc.) or else you lost your opportunity to do content. The biggest difference here is that the game isn't dictating what you can or cannot do (which is how it should be based on ilvl, spec knowledge, rotation, etc.) but it's other people. This is the problem. Other people are gatekeeping content. People have a sense of extreme "I'm better than you because of my number"-feeling that is ruining connections between people and the community. You might say "oh, but just create your own groups and get a higher score, then people won't be so toxic and not invite you", but the reality is that you can't even create these groups or get keys fully completed because nobody wants to form groups with off-meta specs and you run the risk of people leaving. This has turned the game incredibly sour. Am I going to quit? No, because I love this game, but I will try to point out this mess at every opportunity that I can from now on. In the future, I hope this will change so that we can see every class near an equal representation on population statistical analyses and, most importantly, a community focused on community and playing with friends.
This chart shows how much people just care about the ranking to pick classes and not even pay attention to the content of the chart. Absolutely all specs are between 96-99 points, and yet people somehow think the bottom spec is like half the damage of the top spec. They are all literally within a few percent of each other.
I can't speak on what others take to their keys but as someone who does random 10's I haven't met a group who just picks FoTM clss/spec,i notice most Rag/Az players and such does and that's me not calling anyone or server out but just saying ,most groups I random with just seems to pick anything for keys but thats just from what I see, like I do 10's on my destro lock which supposed to be at the bottom yet doing 4k-8k if not 11k on bosses if I get to stand still and chaos bolts, I've met groups that pick so many different class to the point I had to bring lust as drums and the fact my i.o is like 500-600 and 205 ilvl seems to not get me turned down but some groups do decline me but thats just the way it is, don't let these charts and a few bad eggs makes you think everyone in group finder out for the Fotm cause I can tell you that not everyone is like that.
Stigmatism is an optical term that has to do with the focus of light on a singularity - as opposed to astigmatism, which is a defect in the eye.Stigma is related to shame and dishonor. I wonder which one should be used in the paragraph about Fury Warriors... :)
