I hope we get back tonthe maw to defeat the jailer and sylvia.
The characters appearing in the Shadowlands introduction and the interactions between them seem... off. I can't pinpoint exactly what, but this isn't what I was expecting of an incursion into the biggest menace to Azeroth's existence. Why are Rokhan and Calia there, and not actually powerful characters? And just what the hell is that interaction with Helya? No explanation whatsoever, only meaningless generic banter that could very well be from a fanfic or throwaway NPCs.
I'm not really sure how I feel about The Maw. On one hand I'm glad that they didn't go with the standard(cliche) Burning Hells art direction, but instead went with grey, emptiness, fear, hopelessness.....On the other hand it doesn't really look so impressive compared to the other zones tbh. I mean it's the endgame zone, it should look awesomest in the hole expansion, think of Suramar or The Vale of Eternal Blossoms, and I mean it's Hell. Idk.
So far the story, the chracters chosen and the interactions seem so miserable to what it can be. Unfortunately it’s the same Blizzard writing and it feels hollow. One powerful character to save the day. Thrall caring for Tyrande much without explanation. Running from erand to erand without much exposition or thinking of the Lore implications in the future. E.g: “she is now bound to the helm” (how the hell?), Jaina knows everything and her powers work flawlessly, same bunch from BFA to boss around (Baine, Thrall, Anduin, Jaina) without developing much story for the rest like how did they get there, and why them( Calia much, she should be busy building up the forsaken again, i hate how everything is solved behind the scenes).Very soon there will be so many games out with such an awesome story and i have to ask myself, why should i bother with a B rated writing.
ok so everyone is freaking out about Callia and to a much lesser extent Valeera but what about the interesting lore bits?Helya is back, claiming the mawsworn as hers. If the parallel with Legion runs true she's ending up as a boss in the Maw raid (and i do not want to fight Sylvanas as the last boss). Let's hope we get to discover more about the backstory and about Odin peering into the shadowlands in exchange for one eye which i think was in a book in-game so "unreliable narrator" bias applies and yes, Chronicles are now considered from unreliable narrators too which leads to the next, bigger, lore point: who are(were) the First Ones? we might have thought the Jailer was referring to the Titans but the line from Anduin (who seems non only to have become a full-fledged paladin but also a scholar of titan relics under Bronzebeard training we suppose) is no throwaway but specifically there to point out the gateway stone is not the work of titans.

Wow. Three elves, one human, one troll somewhere on the background. That`s what I call true Horde!
Where are Orcs? Why 3 elves represent the Horde? And what a hell Calia is doing there. This Horde part looks so stupid.
So...much...whining... How about you all make your own games instead if you seemingly know a lot more than the devs?
Calia is being positioned to be the new Forsaken leader
I like the people that are angry or confused about the Prologue not giving enough information. Most questions can simply be answered by "How would anyone know, this is literally the first time any of the characters has seen the Maw!"You guys really have to take a step back and think about the fact, that there are four different leveling zones with several mysteries involved, and in addition to that the Maw itself being the big main mystery the whole expansion (seems to) work around.
Anduin is suffering and that makes me happy
Why are you listing both Valeera and Calia as Horde leaders? Whatever is Calia relationship to Forsaken, she is not one of the leaders of the Horde. And Valeera allied with King of Stormwind, so she is most certainly has nothing to do with the Horde.Or did you just do it so it would be 5 names for each faction instead of 7 for Alliance and 3 for Horde? Lol.
