The mission table is a real pain in the ass for my main Venthyr and I would not mind if it did not cost anima to heal your wounded and if it did not reward some damn soul ashes !So I do not even bother on my kyrian reroll... that's just a waste of time and anima !
Blizz did really a poor job on explaining things. Poor job also on the 'rework' of these table missions, they take away all the info we SHOULD BE HAVING. More, Venture Plan as it is now, it says to most of my 'dangerous missions', and even some easier ones that the team I set up will 'fail', but I've seen them win over and over.Another thing is that they should either keep the base troops' level or gives us the champions faster. Right now my strat, at least on my alts is TO NOT TOUCH TABLE MISSION UNTILL THEY HAVE MOST CHAMPIONS. It seems leveling troops/champions is easier in SL anyway, and I wouldn't lose much if I waited longer on them.Currently Venture Plan doesn't do what, let's say, Master Plan does: 'sets the teams', unless I missed something. And they too should put in some walkthrough over their addon UI, it's totally new and even if I get the hang of it, every new player will be confused too in the beginning.

For Kyrian, it has sufficiently drained my anima failing missions that I'm pretty discouraged. I am not going to go farm for resources to try to do missions that are -8 levels below me and keep failing. For now, I just stopped collecting anima and doing the boards. By the time they fix it, and you know they won't grant me the resources that were wasted due to broken followers, I won't be interested as the window of usefulness is lost... So it's a total fail on the entire sub-game there for me.I guess the good news is: i can also ignore world quests, renown chasing, the maw, and much more - the anima collection is too pitiful for no payoff. And I am already soloing Torghast layer 8, so that's on rinse-repeat for soul ash that is prob good enough (I have level 3 leggo on my hand already so I could probably just stop Torghast too as the best I get is a single item +10 ilevel, which is pretty low on value).So, at this point, I guess I'm content doing only M+ in the game. That's fine, but it's a departure from the last 3 xpacs where I really dug into the boards and enjoyed them for many months. This time around, the boards require grinding to run, usually fail and reward nothing but cost to heal, and that's not a good design at all. So I'm off to play Eternal instead ;)

As a Kyrian I just stopped doing em, waste of resources.
I'm using the addon that wowhead recommended and have gotten percentages listed. I did finish a soul ash/stygia mission yesterday after failing every other one I've gotten (total of 4 so far) but the highest perc of success that I could muster as a Kyrian was 60%. If I took all the abilities into account & countered them it said I only had a 23% chance of success. Yeah, Kyrian mission table for sure needs a boost. Also, after doing several missions that award herbs, skins, ore etc I refuse to do any more of them. The max I've gotten for any of these items is a total of 6. A 3-4 hour long mission for 6 of a random herb is a waste of anima. In 3-4 hours I can pick 50 times that number AND earn more anima. Sure, the mission table is doing the work, but it's costing me anima I have to farm more of because the table sucks.
Everyone knows that NF is godlike, but what makes Necrolords almost as good as Fae ?
I'm a venthyr and have dutifully done missions as of day 1. The only thing I've pretty much done is XP quests with a few anima and campaign quests (which I had to do at +- +10 lvls) and 2 soul ash missions (finally!). I'm at the point where my top 5 is at 32-35 in terms of levels. 24 campaign missions are doable but definitely not easy, anything at 25 becomes a pain. I've upgraded my legendary to 235 and since I don't think I'll need another 4k soul ash before a 2nd legendary can be slotted and can easily do lvl 8 Torghast on my own, Soul Ash missions have become completely useless. Campaign missions reward crap. The missions I'd consider somewhat remotely useful are the gold quests as it can net me another 1k with a little luck per day.
As far as I am concerned on my Kyrian main, table could just as well NOT EXIST in the game anymore. It's just not worth sinking anima into this garbage that could be used for something more meaningful... or saved up to upgrade transport network to get rid if the boring and buggy flyover to Oribos.A real shame though, maybe now that it's mainstream news how Blizzard keeps $%^&ing up, this will get some attention...

The main reason why Night Fae is so OP currently is because the Ardenweald Trapper trooper ability Bramble Trap is bugged.Instead of reducing all enemy damage by 20% every other round when cast which stacks (making it strong ability anyhow), it is continuing to reduce damage every round (except for the the round where the ability is yet to be reapplied).The fact the ability stacks even when they fix the bugged damage reduction per round is still very strong. Probably 10% that stack every other round, something like that.Dreamweaver combined with the trappers is also strong especially compared to other covenant companions.However, the issue remains that most players face missions, often Elite quality a number of levels above their own makes progress really tough currently (without the cheese). Also the very high penalty for loss in anima means most will just bench their team for 12-24 hours which makes little sense for a mini-game. Reduce the cost to 10% of current cost seems more reasonable without being punitive.With Night Fae you get quite quickly to the point there are no Bonus EXP missions and are reduced to literally picking the highest level mission with all companions to literally suicide them for the higher EXP as there is no bonus EXP so just rely on base EXP they receive even for defeats and continue to repeat this even when they have little health as your only option. An issue other covenants will reach also once some balance pass is done.It remains very hard to actually use tactics for fights given we still miss crucial info of the enemy base attack strength etc. which was supposed to be at least a partial feature of this new table. Just hope they give a proper balance pass and provide more info soon.Players basically having to rely on addons to even see important information and even to have some ideas reflects all this and is not good design.The actual rewards and general idea are actually really decent given that rewards scale with level (anima power items increase, quality of professions cache improves, pets, mounts etc.) and all available for a small initial investment of lost souls and anima. The upgrades feel weak as they are and really don't necessary over other options.
I just gave up on missions. There's no point. Whatever level or overpowered, there's just no success no matter what team members you combine. I hope it will be fixed in 9.1, when all of this will be worthless, but I hope will get some mounts, because of Blizz. I sure know it's against rules to call out on people, but this Ion is the worst !@#$ that ever happened to Blizzard.
Just look at it like you're doing quests. Level 20 guys should not be failing level 20 missions, simple as that.
