Carpe Diem Robin. Carpe Diem.
Would love to see the Genie take players on a quest chain where each quest would have something to do with one of his movies. They could be healers for a quest called "Getting through a bad Patch" or rescuing children for an NPC named Peter in a quest called "Hook me up Peter".At any rate, I think this is great. Now, lets not wait for tragedy...bring on the Mila Kunis NPC now :-)
The spell related to the 2nd set of models:Transform: DoubtfireAnd possibly, the Robin NPC will have all 3 forms:Transform: Genie
Out of all his characters, the genie, I think suits him the best. The way he could shift in and out of characters at the drop of a hat was truly embraced and reflected in the genie character. It gave a visualization to our imaginations the way the genie was shape shifting all the time. Truly the genie is the most reflective of his personality and talents.Well done, Blizzard.
the genie look the same as Siamat ... http://www.cuckhead.com/npc=44819#screenshots:id=199725
This is cool, but I was actually wondering when and where Robin Williams said he actually played WoW. I'm always curious to see which celebrities actually play, but I've been searching for the past few days and I can't find any direct links to him playing or talking about WoW. I read his Reddit AMA and he mentions some Zelda and Warhammer, but I can't find anything about WoW. Could someone please tell me where I can find information about him playing . I see people saying he played, but no more specific information on it. I always think it is cool when a celebrity references WoW and you can tell they actually play, Vin Diesel comes to mind.
Oh man I seriously just teared up at this. The genie was a good choice. :)
I think it is great that they are honouring Robin Williams this way. I would love the NPC to sell items referring to his work, e.g. "Drive-By-Fruiting Shotgun", "Dead Sea Tupperware", "Patches Red Nose" and ofc a "Flubber" pet! It looks like he will transform into various forms - looking forward to seeing him in-game!
if u notice the human model is Peter Pan, and not Adam from Jumanji
That's awesome.

So I have decided how the Genie and Robin new models will (should) play out in WoD. It will be a quest hub, and they are from the Genie NPC. After the final quest, you get a "toy" item called "Genies Lamp" (which will have flavor text "You'll never have a friend like me"), and he turns into the human model. Your character has a chat dialog that says "Genie, your free". Then he says, right before he disappears, "I'm going to miss you <Insert Name>"
That is such a wonderful and thoughtful tribute to Robin Williams. I loved watching him in so many of his movies and its such a shame to lose him now. Love you Robin! <3
O Captain My Captain!
Nice tip of the hat to someone who seemed like an amazing person.
Good thing Blizzard always makes time to put tributes to real people into WoW.
