So usual fun detected, fun nerfed thing happened?
Another micro example of the problem with WoW's playerbase this expansion. Post after post complaining about Horde bias when the toy can be used across both factions. Don't have a Horde alt? Tough. I took my Horde character from 110 - 120, outfitted in 340+ gear, with a Lvl 30 necklace in less than a week. It's a MMO. Want to have everything immediately? Go play another genre. Especially in an expansion geared towards faction vs. faction. There absolutely should be different reps for each side with goodies to find on both sides. It takes minimal effort to experience both sides in this game. I main Alliance, raid Heroic pushing into Mythic, and maintain without needing to grind hardly anything. Less time whining and more time earning what you want, folks.
I managed to obtain the toy using the trial character in an hour i thinkThe first 2 escenarios was really painful to do because i really hate horde's loreI don't mind horde's exclusives at all but a toy that gives you the nightelf racial is just too good and ridiculous unbalanced to just don't care
If this could've been obtained through an Alliance questline, this might've been avoided. Since it was available to get by Horde only, it was unfair. Majority of Alliance players do not play Horde, which would make obtaining it impossible. Also, the nerf to the toy was needed, there is NO reason that a toy should be able to do what any race in the game should do, because you sacrificed yourself to be that class that can do said racial ability. All the complainers on the Horde-side can stop complaining now. Tell me this; what if Alliance can get your Orc racial, Troll racial, or anything Horde-racial only through an Alliance only toy, that can only be used as Alliance. What would you do?
To be honest, I’m baffled by people who play horde complaining about alliance players who feel they are treated unfairly. You have to do some serious mental gymnastics to deny the fact alliance side got absolutely shafted this expansion (and to lesser extent, been like that since the exodus of top raiding community to the horde side due to their superior pve racials). “Best” responses included - “this is not a horde toy, just level up a horde toon to 110, complete almost an entire zone and then you can use the toy” duh, really? And I didn’t even mention some of the outlandish things horde players said in this comment section like “you get 3 different colours of the same horse and we get 3 unique mounts cause our zones are a theme park and yours has a cohesive story around it”. Like what the actual hell? First of all, there’s no goddamn cohesive story in Kul’Tiras, it’s all very scattered and not well tied together, apart from maybe Drustvar, which is probably the most story-driven zone. Both Tiragarde and Stormsong feel like they have way more side quests than main story line. And how is having “theme park zones” make you eligible to have 3 unique mounts exactly? You could argue that Kul’Tiras also has “theme park zones”, Drustvar is vastly different from other two, which are closer to each other, but still have their own unique art style. There’s not been a time in this game when playing on the alliance side felt like you were intentionally gimping yourself, but it’s sadly the case now and with more people feeling that and moving to the horde side we might as well just do away with alliance, make them an npc faction and done.
Still works in regular dungeons so that's cool.
I feel sad for those feeling entitled to abuse exploitable items.
Alliance that are crying about horde only: 1. you can go to voldun and do the quest at 1102. it doesn't require you to be horde to use it
