I really hope there is a better PVP system in Shadowlands..

can't jewelcrafters just remove the gem from the socket ? then you'd just need to have your pvp character to be a jewelcrafters with the tool of the trade.
The point of videos like this is showing that a player shouldn't have to be a jewelcrafter, grind out to max level, and get the tool of the trade all to be able to have good gear to avoid weird and buggy scaling issues like this.
Lets be honest here, nobody actually uses Void Storage.
Just be a jewelcrafter and it costs nothing! x d
scaling also favor some classes in pvp and be very bad against others , good example melee vs ranged and how melee is broken since legion rework killed class balance
Remember when people where at the top of arena ranks playing with socketed greens a few months back because the scaling was terrible? Now its the opposite...Im not even gonna talk %^&* about Blizzard, its too easy.
Finally, I can make money selling gems. They're already up for thousands of gold on the AH.
Blizz needs to hire this guy for real. He does better work than their entire dev team combined.
Is Rextroy calling it a bug that they negatively affect your performance or that it affects your pvp ilvl? Because it's completely intended that it affects your pvp ilvl, which would mean it's intended to affect pvp performance, maybe not to this degree tho. They made this change in a patch a month or so into BFA. Why? Supposedly to stop a strategy that was going around online where people would purposely get lower ilvl gear but full of sockets and run arena which gave them scaling from their lower gear. However the only forum posts I could find about this strategy all used the same person as an example, a highly ranked Spriest with a screenshot of their armory page in greens with gems. The player made a reddit post saying that he never actually ran arena with that gear on, and instead only logged off in it which is when armory pages are updated and did it to get people to think that it was a legit strategy to do so, and if he was telling the truth he certainly succeeded in fooling people.
