Thanks
You can summon lower level characters to Oribos and learn Shadowlands crafting professions.
Oh man, it's been so long, I'd forgotten. Thanks!
+5? Not just +1? You can get the quest once a day? I don't get it, there are only quests for +1 profession.
Not to contradict this story but I found it easier than past expansions to max out professions this time. I don't know if it's the drop rate or just the sellers but materials were WAY cheaper and more plentiful than usual. For example, Desolate leather is less than 1g each on my server, with around 60,000 for sale.Meaning, you can easily buy up mats until level 95, and go finish at the faire if you want, or just hit the button 2 more times in Oribos
I don't think I fully understand Blizz's logic on the DMF fish foods/feasts/super-feasts... "They are too powerful for anyone over level 50, so we'll level cap them at 50. However, for players over level 50, we'll make the exact same recipes that use the exact same reagents and cost the exact same amount of currency to purchase and we'll simply prepend "Extra " to the exact same recipe names. This way no one is too OP with their food and everyone can use the exact same food (with a minor variation on the food name)."Please, can I have some of what they were smoking? It sounds pretty wild.
Honestly, maxing both Enchanting & Blacksmithing on my main was dirt cheap, this time around.Same with Tailoring on my alt mage.
One thing I noticed on my level 50 alts was that the experience for the profession quests and the pet battle quests were all 935 xp each. Since it takes 194k xp to hit level 51, this is a significant relative xp nerf to the profession and pet battle quests compared to what you got prior to SL. I had previously leveled up my bankers to their current level 21 in the past by doing nothing more than the profession quests at the DMF each month. Now it looks like that is far less useful than before in terms of xp that can be gained and they will essentially not be advancing their levels from the DMF alone. At least I got the bankers up to legal drinking age.
