Just one more way for Blizz to mess up class balance. They're already having enough trouble managing talent trees & tier. This is a bad decision that will lead to other bad decisions. They'll break certain classes and, rather than addressing the issue with the gems, they'll just nerf the class into the ground by messing with core talents that have nothing to do with the primordial buffs. The cycle contiues.

:D .. Can't blame em ... took them almost 2 month before they same pattern of bullsht borrowed powers are back so all the class imbalance can hide behind it. If you think about it, its less work for them.

A lot of people are saying this is "borrowed power" but no... This reminds me of that trinket from Mechagon with customizable punch cards that give different effects based on what punch cards ou put in.
And some will be probably meta and everyone uses them and the other gems are by and large worthless

Thanks, I hate it. The last thing I want is yet another layer of complexity to manage on top of BIS gear, talents, enhancement gear, and tier sets. Sure, you have your Lariat crafted at 18 and your 418 cowl to proc the fire rings from raid and your 4-peice tier set and the talent build to synergize with it, but have you simmed the 2300 three primordial gem combinations to determine the best option for you and then farmed all the wienerschnitzels from the Primal Accordion faction in order to get one of the four people on your server who can make rank 23 swirling mojo's for your shiny new Onyx Amulet that you'll be able to unlock the 3rd gem slot for next week when we raise the Conquistador Musket Powder cap to 2400?There are enough layers of player power in the game right now. I don't want to chase yet another one-off system for half a tier before its meaningless again. Tier sets are fun. We don't need three versions of the same thing each layered on each other each season.
Unnecessary, majority consensus on shards of dom from shadowlands is that they were an awful extra system. This seems pretty similar to those from SL
Aslong as these gems arent random RNG drops and you can target farm the ones that you want there is nothing wrong with this.Shards in Sanctum were only a problem cause it was crazy rng to get all your shards and the proper piece of gear to activate the bonus.
The classes feel whole as they are without this unnecessary and uninteresting bloat. It's been so refreshing in Dragonflight being able to change every aspect of my characters build on a fight-by-fight basis without restriction. Now I'm going to feel compelled to resocket from single target to AoE primordial gems multiple times per raid night. Inconvenience with no upside. Boring generic passive BS. Don't ruin the great thing that you have created in Dragonflight, please Blizzard.
