I've been playing for quite a while, but since I'm mostly F2P, there are definite gaps in my collection. There are a fair number of GvG cards that are still on my "wish list". (If I'm counting everything correctly, I'm about 12.5k dust away from a complete GvG set.)I've got a decent enough collection that I could go into Wild mode and be relatively competitive. But if I did, I'd want to finish rounding out my GvG collection eventually. Heck, I may want to do so even if I don't run Wild because some Tavern Brawls will allow for all cards, according to the original announcement. But it's going to take a while to come up with 12.5k dust. At least with opening packs, I get the pity counter's guaranteed epics/legendaries. So, yeah, I'd like the option to keep purchasing GvG packs, even if I don't do it as often as the packs that are available for Standard. Or at least a lower dust cost for creating Wild cards. You're right, I personally don't need to purchase Naxx, having already beaten it. I'm assuming that I'll still be able to play the bosses (some of which are quite fun, such as the Loatheb class challenge!), but I'm not 100% sure. But I'd like for new players to be able to enjoy those old adventures as well. Yeah, there's something to be said for the whole, "Back in the day, we had to fight Kel Thu'zad. You shoulda been there," but telling old war stories isn't really the same as being able to share the actual experience with others.
You act like diablo III never happened. Sometimes dev don't know and make wrong decisions, sometimes blizzard ones does, and that was almost how diablo III died, so they fired everyone and started anew, and the game was saved. So don't act like the devs are always right because you just saw a !@#$ing example in the same companie. And blizzard talked to the pros and did what they wanted to do anyway, if you look at the reviews of pro most of their comment, almost no suggestion was taken by blizzard, so don't use dev as gospel nor should be community feedback. But both are important and should be listened.
Considering how long Boom (and others, really) has been out without being addressed, I have little faith in the fact that wild will be "balanced" in any way.
No you don't get it. I want to continue to play wild, and I'm still missing a lot of GVG cards. I am also a collector, I like to get to have as many cards as possible. So now I need some quintillion dust to craft all GVG cards. That's lame.
If the goal is to "wall off" Wild, that's easy, using functionality they already have in place: require the user to have a certain level. You need to have all heroes unlocked to enter the Arena. You need to have at least one hero at level 20 to play in the Brawls. So why not have something similar for accessing Wild mode/buying Wild packs & adventures? All heroes at least level 20, total player level over 100, or some such.If the reason that they're pulling Naxx & GvG from the store is to reduce confusion for new players, then a minimum required level and a "Wild Only" tag/alert would do the same thing, without the grief they're getting from us "old hand" completionists.
