Most definitely the most epic loot I've ever had was being one of the first hunters to complete the epic bow quest from MC. I picked up the first leaf drop in our guild and immediately got busy learning the demons. This was before there were any guides for the quest and a lot of people were still oblivious to the quest. I had too many mishaps with people trying to help in mid-fight and despawning the demon on me. It got so bad at one point during the Winterspring demon that I recruited some guildies to come run interference on other PCs who were levelling in the area. After about a week of attempts, despawns, griefers, and just plain bad luck, I finally managed to drop the Silithus demon and claimed my final head. I contributed to a couple guides for the quest, helped dozens of other hunters on my server complete it (ranging from tips to actually being paid to kill the demon), and brought in some good PR for the guild. Oh, and I got an amazing bow and quiver, and, eventually, the staff to pair with it.
What could have been more epic than the time I got exalted with Netherdrakes and a free drake mount!

My most epic drop would probably be the Dazzling Longsword, a lower level and slightly less effective version of the Phantom Blade. While not particularly 'epic'- (infact, I think the weapon's kind of lame), the circumstances around its' acquirement I think were pretty awesome. So, I'm leading a group in Razorfen Downs, a loooooong time ago, in a year when we didn't have Draenei, flying mounts, or the horrible piece of lag that is Shattrath. Positively ancient, eh? Well, as we're nearing the pass on the mountain of Amnennar the Coldbringer's. We kill the trash pretty easily, and on the second to last pull? BAM. It drops. Stun silence, 'oooohs' and 'aaaahs' abound, and after we're all done collectively wooping, we all agree to Roll Greed, as we'll probably never see another Epic drop until we're raiding. Well, it turns out somewhere doesn't want to do that. Someone's greedy, but got a misconception about their greed. They think they -need- it. So this guy rolls Need right after three of us roll Greed. I say in /Party, "Ha ha, what?", and roll Need too combat his Ninja. I WIN the roll, and he's fuming. After all the arguments, threats to report and/or leave the group, I suggest we all /Roll, because that'd be fair. Everyone agrees, and... well, I win again. The guy who tried to Ninja complains of course, but that's pretty much it. It's agreed on that that's fair. We continue on and, as if to rub salt in the Ninja's wounds, I win the dagger I came to the instance for in the first place.Looking back on that, I'm really surprised and amazed that we managed to pull our stuff together to kill him. Oh well. That's my most Epic Drop, I hope it's worthy of a Bear Mount!
Most epic thing to ever happen to me would be my very first kara raid (prior to 3.0). I wasnt even signed up to attend because I didnt think I had the gear to heal through it. but the guild was kind enough to let me go. so we go to Huntsman, and the plate healing gloves drop and I win them. that was pretty awesome.... We go to moroes... the plate healing boots drop, now I was getting excited just after two bosses! I had easily upgraded some of my worst gear. Now as the night continued not everything I needed dropped but I managed to pick up my T4 gloves, the healing shield from Chess, and finally my T4 helm from prince. At the end of the night I couldnt go to sleep because I was so happy, after all I had easily boosted my healing by quite a bit.
Way back after I had leveled to 60, I was starting to raid, but only Zul'Gurub as I was in a smallish guild. I had never really seen any raiding at that point and seeing epics drop was the craziest thing ever to me. But when I got my first raiding drop, it was only a blue item. The dropped and I won the roll for it. Someone told me it had great stats and that it was perfect for my priest. It also looked awesome with the feather and what not. First raiding drop ever, I'll never forget it!
Hmmm, the most epic loot drop ever. Tough call really.Guess I'll eliminate most of my choices by going with an actual epic item. I'd have to say my Slayer's Handguards were the most epic things I ever got. Not that they were super unique or anything, but it was my first piece of T6 quality gear and the point I finally felt like a real raider. These things are so great they even are still getting good milage in Northrend. Well, they have a fishing enchant on them now instead of agility. If anything it makes me the most bad-ass fisherman ever. While everyone else has their common vendor gloves with fishing, I have my red gauntlets of awesomeness.
My best epic loot was my Anger-spark Gloves that I am still rocking at lvl 76!
