I was invited to Kara late one night from my guild..and I had ALWAYS wanted to go. I was, at this point, a horribly geared prot warrior, and I never seemed to be asked to tank anything besides non-heroic instances. I was getting close to quitting WoW and going back to EQ which I had been at for 6 years. When the group forms, I let everyone know I'm the worst geared warrior on the planet, and that I know my place as an off-tank (I was getting really good at it). Everyone laughed, told me that they all had been through Kara numerous times...and off we went.About an hour deep in this (and after I wiped abut 15 times), we took a break and I (like an idiot) decided to peek around a corner..then BAM! I get 2 adds on me.I scramble to type 'HELP' to my group when I realize that these aren't elite..so I make quick work of them, and go to loot.My heart stops when the little screen comes up:BlinkstrikeI can't even speak. My group then PASSES on it..everyone passed...they all told me to get it because I didn't have anything epic and I deserved something nice. That drop was the best EPIC moment for me...and I'm still playing 2 years later.
Being the first warrior with an Arcanite reaper back in the day was pretty epic. I would 2 or 3 shot almost anybody. I still remember the epic battles in Southshore and Tarren Mill, and having that reaper really helped me own it up for the horde!
Scholo, every warrior hates this place. Well at least I do for the reason of that I ran it so much I can still remember every room of that place. My first 60 and I was working on getting those valor boots from the bat boss. Every group I made sure that they had the blood to summon the boss. Every time clear the place no boots. By the time the expanison came out for BC I still had no boots of valor. So on a request of a friend I tanked the place, killed every boss but the bat. No one had the blood, so I looked it up. Found where to get the blood and got it. We kill the boss and guess what dropped. MY BOOTS! Two days later they got replaced with a green. But the fact remains I still got my boots.
The most epic thing I had a chance to win was the Headless Horseman's Reins. I ran that event every day since the event went live, hoping to even see the drop, but no luck. Finally on my birthday, I rolled out of bed, and sighed to myself and figured why not, let's give it a shot. First PuG of the day, first kill, it drops. And yay! I won!
Lok'amir il Romathis, nothing beats wielding the weapon of the once most feared boss in all of azeroth.
Most epic drop I ever got was a Foror's Compendium of Dragon Slaying from Guard Slip'kik after I accidently agro'd him during a DM tribute run
The most epic thing I would have gotten would be me getting my first Epic Mount from AV. This was before it had the correct riding skill and when they finally fixed it I got the epic riding skill for free. ;)
