My most epic drop ever must have been the Pattern: Robe of the Void.I only got it after a long discussion by a stupid hunter who claimed it for his mage alt. He did not seem to comprehend that the pattern would be useless to his mage, as the robe crafted from the pattern is BoP and only usable by warlocks. Hurray for the Master Looter system! :-)When I was finally given the pattern, I needed days of farming in order to raise my tailoring to the max level and to gather the materials for the robe itself. But then I finally was the first one in my guild to equip an epic item (purple items weren't so common back then) and I was the envy of the entire guild! The robe has served me well into BWL despite numerous nerfs. Because it was the one item that set me apart from most other warlocks (which for the rest were often equipped in the identical T1, T2 and Zul'Gurub gear as myself), I have always remained fond of this one particular epic item.
The most epic thing I received was after completing the netherdrake series of quests. Riding a Netherdrake is truly riding in epic style.
FINALLY GOT ITBaron Rivendare Steed :D omg this mount is soooooo great ^^
Probably my most epic drop was levelling up my fishing in Ironforge and catching Old Ironjaw. I had no idea what that was about, but I got him in around 50 casts or so. Seems some folks fish him for days without catching him.
My first time Heroic Magisters Terrace, We made it to the very last boss, KaelThas himself. We got destroyed, twice. But the third time, we stayed up! until phase two at least. With the boss at 47% I was the last man standing. So I thought to myself, I'm at least not going down without a fight! so I ran from the bubbles, healed when needed, used shamanistic rage, totems, my Elemental totems, cooldowns, trinkets, grenades, and a goblin land mine. and nearly 10 minutes later I finally killed him! In what can only be described as an act of providence, the Tunic of the Ranger Lord dropped, the hunter in our party didn't even roll, and at that moment, I felt like a hero.
The first epic that I ever got was Underworld Band on my Orc Warrior while doing quests in Stranglethorn Vale. I had seen them in the AH selling for a ridiculously large amount and my jaw dropped. However, I had finally gotten my wife to start playing so I gave it to her lvl 20 Blood Elf Warlock.
