The most epic drop I ever looted was a pair of dark iron baby booties. I looted it on a guild run of BRD and it made the perfect little gift for one of our guildies, who at the time was expecting and very near her due date. It was a good laugh and our guild had great fun presenting them to her. Who knew you could find baby gifts in WoW?
I was lvl 59 while my guild was in MC. We had it mostly on farm, but there were nights when Rag was still a pain. Late in the evening on raid night, I dinged 60. Less than a minute later I got a raid invite to MC because one of the other locks had to leave. The guild was on their 3rd Rag try for the night. Since I had no idea what I was doing, I asked the warlock class lead and I got this response:"Your job is to soulstone a healer and then die." Well, I didn't follow his instructions. I lived through the fight in my quest greens/blues with 1 FR potion and a lot of luck (it probably helped that I was on good terms with all of the healers). I was rewarded with my Nemesis Leggings just about 20 minutes after I hit 60.
It happened so fast, didnt even notice what happened. I was jumping around in Orgrimmar when my chat got spammed with "Grillinakki receives loot: <item name>". A short moment after that a GM whispers me: "Greetings, Grillinakki. I have accidentally given you items that I gave you by mistake."I checked in my bags, they included alot items i hadn't seen earlier, there were a full set of Tier 2 set items and some blue wand and other stuff. Someone had sold all his items to a vendor and is now asking items back from a GM, thats what I was thinking by then.I said hello to the GM, he whispered me back to say sorry what happened and asked kindly me to drop them all. Well I started dropping the items, and I thought that, he wouldn't know if i left couple items to myself.. That was what I did, I left the shoulders and chest to my bags, told the GM that I had completed his request. The GM apologized once more for any inconvenience caused and closed our chat with an automated message when I whispered bye to him, by that time I was jumping in my room celebrating that it really worked. My solution for this was that the GM had compiled a macro and by clicking it he adds specific items to the target, and he had targeted me.Phat Lewt =)
Getting my First piece of T7 in the 2nd week of Xpac release after winning wintergrasp Battle. Was my T7 glove for prot warrior. :-)
I never usually do PvP, so when I finally had the points for my Gladiator's Gavel, it was a great moment.
Pre-TBC I had quite an nice epic drop. :DAfter a hard week of fighting dragons of the Red Dragonflight, Xerraz decided it was time to change his slow, old horse into something better. The training was expensive, and the Xerraz wanted to give his new mount a shot. He sat up on it, started riding around Azeroth, seeing places he always had wanted to see before, but it would take ages with his old, slow horse.Later he got to a place which could make strongest shiver, Deadwind Pass. Silently they walked towards a camp there. It was full of ogres! Blues ogres! "What are those doing here?" Xerraz thought. Then seeing a member of the Alliance lying helpless on the ground and an orge was approaching. He drew his mace, and ran towards the ogre. The ogre took his own mace, trying to hit Xerraz, but Xerraz just dodged it all."For the Holy Light!" Xerraz yelled, as he called upon the light, and smashed his mace into the ogre's face. The ogre fell into the ground with a big bam!The gnome was all happy and said they should get away before the ogres would find out. Epsecially when Xerraz yelled as loudly as that."Wait." Xerraz said. "I think he wears something special."Searching through the dead ogre's corpse, he found a shiny dagger. Krol Blade."Okay, let's get away he said."Back in Stormwind, he went to a local shop asking how much they would give him for the sword he had just found. "I won't give you alot, my friend.." he said. "My familiy is quite poor, and I am afraid I will only offer you a few gold for it. But you could always try the auction house."Later on when Xerraz finally got the auction house in the city of Stormwind, he placed it up at AH for 500 gold, and it didn't take long before it got sold by some rich guy who really wanted it.Since then Xerraz lived as a rich guy until the Burning Crusade came out, where yet another epic dropped... But that will be an another story. The end.
