The three homing beacons for the mechanical chicken. I spent hours farming for these I almost gave up but once the first one dropped I was determined to get the other two. Took about two days of focusing just on getting the chicken but it was worth it.
Way back when, when ZG first came out I had my eyes on these nice little claws ... These claws were pretty interesting looking but they also had some strange proc associated with them.... I remember going to ZG countless times and never seeing these wonderful items drop until one day... One of them dropped! I was so excited that I jumped around endlessly... As a gnome rogue, watching me sprint around and jump at the same time is kind of a funny experience. Two weeks later, I was lucky enough to get the other claw to drop.... This story does not end here... I proceeded to have many epic battles all involving people in the battlegrounds. My new toys appeared to be a great mental stun in battle. I remember fighting an undead mage I hit him a few times and BAM my claws proc'd and this Wee Gnome turned into a Giant Tony the tiger! The mage sat there for a good 2 seconds. I like to think he was thinking to myself "OMG WHAT WAS THAT!". The Tony the tiger proc is and always will be one of the most epic things ever.Recently, I chose to dig these epic claws out of my bank and use them in the arena... The catch here is, I didn't let my arena mates know I was doing this. So there we are, fighting as per usual... They notice my DPS isn't that high, and I just shrug it off and say i'm just not doing well... It takes 5 arena que's before it procs.... Oh, but when it does an epic battle ensues before. The match is 3v3... Our priest dies first, then their shaman. After that, their Rogue dies and my hunter... It is down to me and a warrior... I'm sinister striking like a champ... 42dps champ to be exact... I get down to 15% health and BAM sure enough, it proc'd... all I hear in vent is... OMGOMGOMGOGMG WHAT WAS THAT! You know how this story ends? Of Course I die, i'm fighting with 42 dps fists... But the battle was epic....Brody
seems like it was just yesterday when in ZA doing a time chest run for the bear mount even though i didnt get the mount i still got the caster staff and the leather caster pants in same run i was happy def epic
The most epic loot I ever got was my Robe of the Archmage pattern. It took so long to get the pattern to drop and to farm all the mats! I used it forever. I worked so hard for that piece and I still have it, it's very near and dear to me.
Back when MC was serious business, each UBRS pull took 5mins to set up each and I was a noob. I got my first epic the Puissant Cape off Azuregos. I got it over the 3 other hunters that were much better than me, so I got to flaunt that short thing!
The most epic loot would be my epic flyer. It was great to finally be able to zip around the skies after putting all the effort into earning the gold for it!
it was back before BC it was my first time in Molten Core with my new guild, i was a resto druid fresh to hit 60 that night. we were at magmadar, our MT (prot warrior) got dced like after a good 2 mins into the fight, so every1 started to die and the guild was calling wipe, i switched into BEAR form and yelled in ventrillo HEAL ME! after about 3/4th of the raid was dead we 10 manned him with a resto druid tanking, and not only that but i got master looted my first two epics, my cenarion leggins and my mana ignited cord! (mainly because i was the only druid and all the casters already had the cord but eh i wasnt too picky then lol)
My most epic loot I got would probabably be my http://www.cuckhead.com/?item=19345. Nothing can beat being able to BoP yourself in PvP, effectively stopping most players from killing you. If only it lasted forever.
One of the most epic pieces of loot that i've gotten would have to be my Dark Edge of Insanity from C'Thun. I never had the chance to raid AQ40 back before BC came out, but in the few months before WotLK we ran it almost weekly and i was lucky enough to get the one that dropped! I've always been a collector of rare weapons so it was a nice surprise to win this in a semi-pug raid :)
My story probably pales in comparison to others since I never really did much raiding back in the day, but here it goes...I remember it very clearly. One day in September of 2005, a pick-up group comprised of people from the top guilds on the server decided to kill Azuregos. Being the chumpy wannabe raider I was, I jumped at the chance to go. After several minutes of glorious battle, the blue dragon fell to our combined might. Now was my chance to get some epic loot. I searched through the spoils and found something that caught my eye: the Fang of the Mystics. From the moment I laid eyes on it, I knew that I just had to have it.The roll begins. Nervously I typed /rand and hit the enter key, hoping for a big roll. I looked at the screen and saw "Stovepipehat rolls 96 (1-100)". My heart skipped a beat. I couldn't believe that I had won! Victoriously, I claimed the Fang of the Mystics as my own, out-rolling more than 20 people in the progress, even rogues. (Note: This was before it was given caster stats.) The real kicker was that when said stats were added, I had one of the better caster weapons in the game. To this day it sits snugly in my bank, because I would never give it up, let it down, or run around and desert it.
My most epic item looted was my Eye of Divinity back in the day. We had gotten 4 or 5 hunter items in a row, and the week the main healer, who had been waiting for it forever, was out, it dropped and I won it :DClose second, my Time-Lost Proto-Drake
My dearest and most epic item was a zhevra mount i got from recruiting a friend.. :)
