Day 3:I got to 80, and after many years of being ripped apart and pushed around by Onyxia, I can now kill her whenever I please solo. She even dropped her Ancient Black Dragon Sinew for my GF's hunter the first time she came and /clapped as I killed her. Very satisfying!

It wasn't exactly a drop, but my most epic item moment came from winning a comic contest online, Tyrael's Hilt. I won him at the end of August and there hasn't been a day yet that I haven't had him out.I've collected 60 non combt pets so far and Mini Tyrael is still the crown of my collection, and I'm sure he will continue to be until I eventually quit playing WoW.
The dagger from Hogger.Seriously though, I had been wanting to get the For the Alliance Achievement on my Warlock, We had downed all the bosses except Thrall. The first day we tried, we were utterly destroyed. Over the next two days, we were trying again and agian, but always wiped, minly because of a big Horde PvP guild. On the 4th day we sat down again, met up at Ratchet, buffed up, went over the stategy agian, and finally went in. The fight was intense, we had Horde coming in, Vol'Jin wasn't beeing tanked properly, some people had died on the way into Ogrimmar, it seemed to be another wipe. But somehow, we managed tostay alive, and for the first time got him below 50%. We started to believe that we could win it, people were spirit walking it from the graveyard back to the throne, Horde were still pouring in, but we finally, finally got him down and as soon as Thrall hit the floor, hell broke loose in vent. Because I'm a lore lover, I was extra psyched, because come on, it's Thrall, Cairne, Sylvanas, those are some really big names in lore. Everybody hearthed, went to the nearest mailbox and grabbed the epic, epic Black War Bear. We lined up for a screenshot in Ironforge, and that was the most epic experience I've had so far.
After WotLK was released I made a Death Knight like (most) everyone else. After getting out of the starting area and getting to 60 I just had to play some AV to see how well things worked in a PvP environment. After several matches in a row of 16/40 (Alliance/Horde) I decided to put my foot down and make everyone listen."We need to summon Ivus if we want any chance of winning this match!"It too a few tries but eventually there were other people I was continuously in matches with that realized this was the way to go. We were pushed back, all the way back to the bridge and it seemed like we were going to lose until I turned in enough Storm Crystals to get the Druids moving. We then pushed forward with all of our healers on the Druids and pumping out as much AoE as we could. We finally managed to push all the way to the field of Strife! We began the summoning and finally, we summoned the Forest Lord.Things got a little hectic at this point. As it would seem, Death Knights were able to serious hurt Ivus and he was dropping fast. Every healing class we had available went into healing mode to keep him up. That is when the Gryphons arrived. The Horde had no chance after this new development and the Alliance finally broke a few day long loosing streak. The next match things were completely different as the Alliance had way more than the Horde and this continued throughout the next few days. This is what I consider an epic moment and I am proud to have taken part in it.
Back in the old days of WoW I joined a 15-man UBRS run (yes, that long ago), that was my first time running the dungeon. Upon slaying the final boss, General Drakkisath, an uber epic sword called the Blackblade of Shahram dropped. Talk about rare! It use to be one of the rarest items in the game until Blizz increased its drop rate a year or so later. I didn't have any epics yet and barely won the roll. I still have the item in my bank, and although it's not much to look at I'll always treasure it as my first epic item in WoW.
finally getting my Squashling after killing the horseman hundreds of times.
I remember in black temple our third Illidan kill back in march, The cursed vision dropped and I won. I was so happy to replace a Tier 4 helm "Finally!" Also the day I got Teebu's Blazing Longsword during the AQ40 Event.
This was a long time ago, before Burning Crusade, when we were still raiding Molten Core and other old instances. Gearing with epic items was a lot harder in those days than now and some certain items had realy funny drop rate. One of those items were Giantstalker's epaulets. I realy wanted that item becouse it was the last piece of the set i needed. I was the only hunter that didnt had them already so i knew that they are mine when they will drop. So i was waiting raid after raid but with no luck. I tought they will never drop, untill one day after 8 months of raiding and farming Molten Core, Sulfuron Harbinger finaly dropped them for me. I was so excited and happy that i fnaly completed the set and that i got the item i was waiting for almost a year. So i think that was the most epic and amazing item that ever dropped for me.
Well, the most epic encouter that happened to me was in Magister's Terrace. This is just a 5-man instance, but for me that day was an epic day.I respecced protection and i tried it while questing for half an hour, then decided to try that instance.I pugged 4 mid-equipped players and we entered. The instance went well except for Kael'Thas..or at least, we tought it!When he was like on 53% of HP, the 3 DPS died(we only had melee ones so phoenixes kept killing them) and someone wrote "wipe" in /p channel.Well, i lowed him to 50% HP and the 2nd phase began.I started using my CDs smarter then usuale and we saw his life getting to 40%, while healer had a lot of mana.On the first flight the healer died and there was me against him.Using my CDs, two potions(that gave me only around 2000 HP each) my group-mates started running in the instance every time they died, but they lasted like 20 secs every time. Finally, i downed him "alone" from 53% to death, and my groupmates was like "O_O !".The next days they kept whispering me to tank for them, knowing i could've kill the boss almost alone :DNOTE! - i'm Italian, but i just wanted to share this experience with you ;)
