I think my most epic loot was my Hateful Gladiators gloves just earlier this week. We just finished seizing control of wintergrasp and formed a pug group group for the Vault of Archavon. After about 20 minutes we had downed Archavon and my gloves droped, it took me about 2 minutes to port to dalaran, get them socketed and enchanted...YAY EPICS!
I'd have to say my first Vashj fight after the nerf was pretty interesting. We woulda got her in 2 tries. The first fight was spent learning the phases etc. 2nd one we almost had her down, but at 7% she evaded back up to 57% somehow. Of course then we were overwhelmed by the friggen bats lol. 3rd time was the trick.Got my T5 helm now. Still using it for pet healing bonus with T5 gloves :)
It might be kind of sad, but probably the most hard-earned EPIC loot I ever received was my swift flier. To farm more than 6K gold on that thing and be able to soar through the skies was oh so rewarding.
The most epic item I have ever gotten was back in the days of Molten Core, my first piece of Nightslayer for my rogue, I was believe I was level 59 when I got it. I think it was the belt, I don't remember. It was my FIRST epic, and I was so excited due to me not even being able to use it at level 59. Kek.
My most epic "loot" would be the Hand of A'dal title. Back when my guild was doing SSC/TK, we were learning Kael'thas, and got extremely close one week- except that a hunter had died in phase one and we wiped at 1%. The guild managed to down him the next week, but I wasn't there.Fast forward several months. After clearing out Hyjal early, but without enough time to really get started in BT, we're considering calling it a night, until someone suggests we go back to TK. So we do. And I finally get my Vial and title- just a few short weeks before WotLK. (the hunter, btw, was present for the kill and has since been forgiven).
Day three - epic loot, not so many of it.Over a thousand fish.Over a week of fishing. One Magical Crawdad. From the first wish.
I remember back in the day, when I was but a wee troll hunter... My and a pug was tryin to do Razorfen Kraul. When we got to the first boss, the warrior tank switched to berserker stance to " do more dps". That would have been bad enough, but up till now the healer (Druid) hadn't really needed to heal much, so I hadn't really paid attention to him. After looking at his gear, I realized he was feral specced, and had almost no mana. We tried to attempt the boss anyway. The tank was quickly killed due to his lack of health and the healers lack of heals. The boss then quickly killed the healer and started to attack the other dps. Luckily, I was able to have my bear get aggro, and mend pet and bandage him until the other dps were able to take down the pig. I got a Thornspike, which was fairly good for that level, much better than anything else I had at least.
