I remember the very first love of my life....It was the coolest hat on the block...all the kids said I was cool.
My most epic momment was when i got the Runeblade of Baron Rivendare, and then the next day got his mount, Baron Rivendare's Deathcharger :D
I would have to say my most epic item would be my Bloodsail Admiral title on my mage (: Some guildies had set up a time to go farm for the title and of course I didn't know about it until they were like 2 hours in. So I joined them up in booty bay and we started ganking out the goblins. The only bad part about it was, was that I was hated with the Bloodsail guys so It took me so much longer then I thought it would. There was like 14 of us in one group and we were getting NO rep what so ever so we had to split up into two groups of seven and gaining only 5 rep for kill. It was pitiful. As the hours went by, more and more people were coming out. (Mind you, this was the day right before the new patch came out that introduced the Achievements, so we were trying so hard to get it done before 5am when they restart the servers.) My boyfriend was super !@#$ed at me that i was ignoring him for hours trying to get the damned achievement, so he got on his 70 ally rogue and came out there, snuck up behind me, and killed me. Oh I was sooo *!@#ed! I couldn't come back and kill him since I'm a stupid clothie.. T_T So he promised to leave me alone and he went to kill all my other guildies. It actually got pretty freaking hilarious! It got later and later and I was getting close to friendly and it was getting close to 5 and we were rushing. I DID get to friendly just in the nick of time! The next day I downloaded the patch, got on and it said I just yelled 'Hell yeah' really loud! God I was so happy =D I must say that was pretty Epic in my book (:
I got to 80, and after many years of being ripped apart and pushed around by Onyxia, I can now kill her whenever I please solo. She even dropped her Ancient Black Dragon Sinew for my GF's hunter the first time she came and /clapped as I killed her. Very satisfying!
getting Staff of the Shadow Flame from my first run in BWL when it was still the big thing, guilds had been trying to get one since they had been clearing it, and my mage ended up wielding that while wearing full magisters
I remember winning the head of nefarian, that was pretty epic. At that point, only two or three guilds on my server could kill nef, so having the org broadcast that I brought back his head was pretty neat. And the ring wasn't bad either. :)
An epic drop for me consists of two drops from one trash pull after another. The first one dropped the recipe for Solid Star of Elune. Being the only JC, I needed and won. On the very next pull, Gift of the Wild III dropped. Being the only druid, I also won that. 2 excellent rares one after another.
I won Zhardoom with a roll of a 1 against 9 other players. I was the only person who hadn't recieved loot that night ^.^ there was a 100 and a 98 in the dice from other players.
Best Item I ever got and the most amusing on was /script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("Shift-click this to place a link into a chat message: \124cff0070dd\124Hitem:13382:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0\124h\124h\124r");Cannonball Runner
I would say that the most epic moment for me was when i got the flaming piccolo in Stratholme.
My most EPIC drop wasn't an epic item at all!I farmed for ages and ages hoping to complete my Magister's Regalia, and all I needed was the stupid Robes. I ran UBRS ~4 times a week, between my other raid and farming time trying for those robes. They weren't even an upgrade (even after the Dungeon 2 quests were implemented) - I'd moved on to Arcanist and then Netherwind, and still had never won these robes. It wasn't for lack of them dropping either, I managed to lose at least 15 rolls on them (2 of which went to Warlocks, another to a Priest, and one to a Warrior who was &*!@ed because his chest got ninja'd by the Hunter). Finally, Burning Crusade came around and I kinda gave up - nobody wanted to farm UBRS any more and I couldn't solo farm it (stupid Emberseer event). By this point, I'd completed all but the last step in my Dungeon 2 quests, and then refarmed all of the D1 pieces (so I had 7/8 D1 and 6/8 D2 banked).Fast forward through about 5 alts and 2 more years to the launch of patch 3.0. All of a sudden, there was interest in UBRS again, for all those post BC players / alts who wanted the achievement. By this point, I'd stopped playing my mage and was focused entirely on my Warlock - and didn't think twice about it when I took her into UBRS, she needed that achievement, after all.Of course, that run, Magister's Robes dropped, and I win the greed roll for them. On the wrong clothy. I was both happy and *!@#ed, but the drop was definitely epic! My guildies still make fun of me for it.
I remember this more recent event happened. We were in some instance fighting a boss. There was five of us, of course. A warlock(which was me), a priest, a paladin, a hunter and a mage. We were taking on the boss, and were losing badly, but were also getting the boss down to his last bits of health. The boss did something like Bloodlust or Berserk and wailed down on us, killing four of us, with our paladin left. As the paladin came down to his last few hit points, i happened to notice that i soulstoned myself and thought 'oh, this would be a good time to use it'. So i soulstone resurrected myself and managed to dot the boss enough to draw attention away, long enough for my pally to pop a flash of light, and come back into the fight. he drew the boss's focus to him with righteous fury, and i spammed drain life til he died. We managed to get a nice sword upgrade for the pally who quite well deserved it.
I looted a Broken I.W.I.N. Button off the corpse of a 'botted Hordie in AV.It was quite apropos.
