It was fine. I like the newer version more though, it's a little more interesting to look at. Glad they didn't change it too much though. It's more likely meant to be a capirote than anything else.People looking for soemthing to complain about will always find something.
The old look was unfortunate. Whether you cared about it or not, people recognized it as reminiscent to a racist symbol. Even if no one cared, the recognition of it is enough for Blizz to want to change it. That's fine.I expected this exact solution. It's minor, not ugly or disruptive of the look Blizzard desired, and probably didn't cost them too much time. And that's fine with me too. Honestly anyone upset by this just feels like they are actively looking for outrage.
This is it! Seriously? Even after I read that a black band had been added it took me forever to actually spot the difference. And I don't know what you mean by "the front looks entirely different" it looks exactly the same as it did before, unless you mean different from the KKK hood."While this change may not entirely disassociate from the shape of the helmet, peaked hats aren't exactly unique to the hate group either, and other color tints seen below do at least help avoid the resemblance." I mean aren't they though? Quite literally the only other real life group that uses those types of pointed hoods is an arcane Spanish religious order that has used that shape of hood for hundreds of years and I guaranteed you no one thinks "Middle Ages Spanish priest" when they happen to glimpse that shape. This is seriously just laughable. They might as well have ignored the backlash and left the door of plausible deniability open because right now it seems like either they are completely tone deaf or this was intentional all along and whoever created and authorized it is refusing to have it substantially altered. Either that or extreme laziness... idk which is worse at this point.
nice priest set
Cool, I went from "lowbie Klansmen" to "Imperial Wizard".
Sad yet predictable to see most folks defending the original and the lack of actual change to this "updated" one.Cesspool of a community.
Still don't really love the way this looks. Like resemblance to you know what aside, I just don't care for this appearance.
I think it looks a lot better now, feels more in line with the rest of the outfit. However I fail to see how this stops it looking like "that"? Its mainly the fact that its shape is well, that and its color. NGL I think the set looks decent, but I do think they should slightly reshape the helm. Maybe make the tip point backwards a bit? so that its less sharp and more like a wizard-ey helm. Would also suit the class, afterall warlocks are mages that dabbled in fel
imagine being upset about a armor set in a video game. Yall throwing a fit over this but apparently have no issues with RDR2 having actual meetings with kkk members. Bunch of snowflakes playing this game these days holy @#$%.
The stripe is sufficient enough to differentiate it from that group of idiots. It's a simple change that does plenty.
all they really should have done was make the point bend backward so that the silhouette doesnt evoke the same imagery. the band doesnt really change much... its the pointy white hood that is the issue...
You guys do realize that the White version is only the Mythic Raiding set colors right? If they change the hood shape or add to it, it'll effect the other tints below Mythic and either make them look different. I would say just change the color of the Mythic version but that would mean changing the colors of the other mythic sets to match with the warlock set. So really, the fact that it was a purely white hood was an unfortunate circumstance that wasn't intended. And again, this is only for the Mythic version of a Warlock set... and not a lot of players are able to reach that far in terms of raiding and there's plenty of other tints and there is transmogging... So I don't see any reason why Blizz would have to change a single hood that most of the player base probably won't even get.
Easiest game of spot the racist yet.
So he's not a KKK simpleton, he's the Grandmaster himself. Thanks Blizz for the promo.
