That's the only buff Mistweaver will get ? lmaoA tiny boost of damage on 4 skills ? I mean it's better than nothing, and it will make ATotM even stronger which I'm not against but still, this is not nearly enough to get Mistweaver working. We bring no utility that is any useful to the group, we do abysmal damage compared to paladin, are less tanky than them and heal less than them. We have exactly the same gameplay and the same strength (the biggest difference being that we have smarter passive healing with renewing mist compared to glimmer, which is often times actually worst to be honest). The 4 covenant legendaries are dead on arrival unless they get a really major buff. Mistweaver's throughput is so abysmal that its legendaries are overtune to compensate and pretend the spec is doing fine. The new legendaries are far from being overtuned so they will never be used.As a night fae I have 0 incentive to use this legendary over ATotM or ToM I will lose so much throughput it's not worth and the legendary makes the gameplay even more niche where you constantly have to face your team and mostly heal close allies. I'll probably craft it at least for outdoor content and torghast but in actual content it sounds like a really bad idea.
I have to thank Blizz for making it easier for me to play less and less, and it's not even about the nerf in particular, but rather the sheer disconnect from the player base that it represents.
One day blizzard will learn the difference between nerfing and stomping something to the ground. Was AMZ a bit op? For sure! Increase the CD, reduce duration, hell nerf it from 20% to 15% if you have to. This total absorb number based on whatever versa totally lame for dps dks. I can see it being good for blood that are quite likely to be stacking loads of versa but that's about it.I enjoyed being a valuable raid member, good thing I play with a guild that will have me onboard regardless of this.
haha what a stupid nerf to amz ... so glad i quit the game since it's just bad ... try now to survive paladins with dk rofl
Blizzard totally over-nerfed AMZ. It was fun and felt great while it lasted. I hate world first race; I love to watch it, but then it creates a meta where everyone thinks they have to have this class. Having utility from DK was great, could be used in mythic+, RBGs, even raids! This is total overkill. 3 minutes and a fixed amount absorb makes it very "meh". I'm not in favor of such a big nerf. I hope they buff dk's damage to compensate. Knowing blizzard, I ask too much from them.
finally AMZ goes to #$%^. that on-demand encounter-cheese was way out of line.
Yeah blood DK's are dead... Could've done a better tuning but noo, let's just kill it instead. Could've just made it a 2 minute debuff to eliminate dk stacking, maybe a shorter duration, and leaving everything else as was. Or even make it available for ONLY blood DK's, making DK tanks a contender again, but no.. You just had to kill it.I can't play another main. I only had the love and engagement for blood DK's. I won't just "make a new character", cause I played to have fun, engage and live a little lighter, not to "work" and defeat. Shouldn't you pick a class you enjoy, rather than just pick whatever is "good this patch" or whatever gets you a spot?I feel sad and defeated, and I think this might be it for me.
Hear me out: the issue with amz was that raids was stacking DK's to simply skip raid abilities, right? And it was a problem that melee dps slots were filled by dps DK's, right? And an AMZ is an OP raidwide defensive CD for a dps to have, right? So why not just remove the amz from the dps DK's, and leave it as it was for blood DK's? Or, even reduce the damage decrease from 20% to 15% for blood DK's, while removing it from frost and unholy DK's?This is obviously a major tank CD, so why do an all-over nerf, instead of just addressing the ACTUAL problem, which was melee DPS stacking, and not blood DK tank stacking? The absorbtion cap renders it useless, and with that: blood DK's will be even more useless, while the dps DK's will still be brought to raids for their damage, all the while bdk's won't have anything extra useful that'll favor them in raids. So this general nerf will hit blood DK hardest, while they weren't even the problem? Btw: The versatility scaling blizzard added to try and make it more useful for blood DK's didn't do @#$% for the blood DK's who actually tested it live in ptr. It's still useless. Tdlr; AMZ is a tanking ability and bdk's should get to keep the unchanged version, since the issue was with DPS DK's stacking, not with blood DK tanks. The nerf renders the amz useless, but several youtubers tested it and commented dps DK's will still be brought to raids for their damage, but the usage of blood DK tanks will dwindle to nothing, as they now are useless compared to the other tanks.
Go back and check the AMZ use for Majordomo Staghelm in Firelands during Cata and you will see why this could be considered a buff.TLDR: if it works like it did back then, the shell absorbed the whole attack that breaks even if the attack was higher than its rating.
