6 traits in 1 tier looks interesting, looking forward to know what they exactly are.
At this stage, I think people have forgotten what Grinding is, a lot of these people complaining will go to wow classic and go omg, so much grind, and probably stop playing for that same reason, or realise the grind here is actually not that bad.
So, we were having problem with getting ideal traits. Now they've put traits on your traits so you can have bad traits on top of bad traits, so you can trait while you trait, and now hunt EVEN HARDER for your ideal piece of gear! YAAAAAY! <---- said nobody.......
Why ADD something what no ones really cares or need all The Time?
While not intended to help raiders (your pool of Azerite gear is already pretty concise), but for dungeon/WQ people, you do know that 8.1 also brings the whole "scrapping Azerite armor dropped in 8.1 will give you tokens to BUY AZERITE GEAR", right? Either lower cost random roll, or a higher cost specific piece. No issues with getting the "right" piece any more. Just grind it the hell out. Don't like the grind? Don't complain about using sub-optimal gear then. Time put in (or a bit of RNG), effort rewarded. Grinding out legendaries was just as bad (if not worse) in Legion, cause you could go upwards of TEN legendary drops before getting your BiS one or two for your spec. And the gap just kept growing between them. It wasn't until 7.3.5 that you could flat-out buy whatever Legendary you wanted for your class. They are letting us do that with Azerite Gear in 8.1, not 8.3.For those complaining about the azerite levels: I was level 30 2 weeks ago. I've ran a total of 8 mythic dungeons to date. I've done 1 wing of LFR, and I don't PvP. And even skipped the Island Expedition goal a couple weeks (just wasn't interested in farming it out). Seriously, the catch-up mechanic is shaving like 10,000 AP off of 31 for me, per week. It's not freaking hard. Just actually DO THINGS. The game isn't going to hand you rewards for simply logging in, you have to do things.Personally, I like this. Giving me the ability to actually, maybe, use my class traits might be nice for Retribution. However, I hope there is a lot more trait tweaking/replacing coming in 8.1, cause right now, Retribution's are BORING-as-hell passives, or counter to the playstyle of the spec (looking at you, "use Divine Storm on targets under 20% health for a Strength boost"). Protection's are tolerably better (mostly cause generic doesn't do defensive), with some cool interactions, if minor.
Spam island expedition guys, 2 birds in one stone. You get rewards you wont get after the expac + you get a lor of azerite in little time. also it is not 8.1 yet, you have 1.25 month. If you consider that you are azretie lvl 28 right now and grind 1 level per week, you will be 34. so one level before the requirement to meet the 3 important rings. In the mean time, during the week the raid open, you farm azerite for lvl 35 AAAND, youre done and ready for those new pieces. The 4th ring matters little. Except for a tank.
No generic traits in the new ring isn't a good idea for spec-swapping. Means that pieces are effectively locked to spec now since missing out on 2 traits is too big of a deal.
>Plays a mmo rpg game>Whines about grinding something that a casual player does without knowing it even exists>Has no idea the grinding keeps getting easier and easier every single week while the raid will drop a month later>”oh noes! This game doesn’t give me everything instantly to play with for a day! What has become of this game?”👏👏👏
It will be harder to get full BiS traits :D... But at least we can farm the piece we want so, it will be awesooooome :) !
So, will the 5th ring be retroactive? Will my 385 azerite gear be "upgraded" to the fifth ring or do i have to farm everything again when 8.1 hits live?
It's incredible how most comments are along the lines of "Those stupid millenials, they want everything given for free without working for it", but you barely see comments here actually complaining about the grinding.Seriously, I find MUCH more annoying the whining about the whining, than the basic whining.
Coming from a guy is only lvl 23, but 281 ilvl, this saddens me. Instead of increasing the level requirements, start them sooner. I'm not saying they should always stay the same, but it becomes increasingly unfriendly to anyone behind the curve. And yes, I'm well aware there is a buff, but at this moment that buff saves you barely any time grinding out the ap compared to what it would be without it. We just aren't seeing the returns on it yet.
haha more gear I will never get since I dont raid
