I don't think even Blizzard are dumb enough to repeat MoP (it's a low-point they never wanna return to). Form what they've previously said, we can gather that the war won't be over after just one expansion.
Elves, elves... I really WANT to join the revolution against selfish hypocritical tyrant! Screw this "queen" usurper! Where can I enroll?
Guys, can we just call Tyrande's new form:Super Saiyan Elune Super Saiyan?
Damn, I'm getting pretty excited for 8.1
So the horde get derek proudmoore, Nigh elf hero's and wardens....^&*! you blizzard so sick of this....could we get something please...do not give everything alliance to the horde.
The main reason I want Sylvanas to stay in power is because she's different from every faction leader before. She doesn't try to paint the war as noble and honorable, but as a bitter fight for survival. (Which it is.) She's willing to cross uncomfortable lines to keep the Horde alive in the long run. Her "honor means nothing to a corpse" speech in the Battle for Lordaeron and her "how long would peace last" speech in A Good War define her philosophy. You don't have to think she's right or even that she's a "good guy," but to paint her as a pure black-hearted villain only showcases a desire to have characters one can uniformly root for. (Which seems to be a common problem in the Warcraft fandom--way too many people started conspiracy theories about Jaina being replaced by a demon because she was angry her home was decimated.)Which is why I'm worried about the direction this Saurfang stuff is going. It's possible there's some missing information or a future twist that will pull the rug from under us, but all the setup we've seen is clearly setting up Saurfang being a revolutionary trying to overthrow the EEEEEeeeevil Banshee Queen and presumably become the new Warchief to advance the noble goal of letting his people die while he sulks about honor. And should that happen, all of Sylvanas's interestingly pragmatic philosophy will almost certainly go down the toilet. A Warchief who burned Teldrassil as an impulse decision motivated by rage and failure will become a Warchief who gleefully massacred an entire population. A Warchief who raises people from the dead to keep her people strong will become a Warchief who raises the dead to create an army to decimate Azeroth.
One thing I do know the living Proudmoores as in Jaina, Tandred & Katherine are going to be pissed finding a member of their family has be raised forsaken 0.o
Sira will become a night warrior warden, they wouldn't repeat cordana. As for the parallels between MoP and BfA, I think that MoP was more of a civil war. The Horde split into two factions, in BfA it seems like it'll be a revolution, which is different to a civil war. The citizens will rise up and oust their leader. I think the desolate council were a forshadowing of this. Sylvanas represents a return to the Horde's violent past and the members of the Horde will have to decide once and for all which path they want to take. Once Sylvanas is gone that will be the end of the Horde's warmongering ways of the past, it will be burried and finally the Horde will be able to start anew like it was meant to under Thrall's leadership. Also, Thrall has a lot of explaining to do. Handing leadership to Garrosh is like WoWs equivilent to the Assasination of Franz Ferdinand.
Saurfang'S honor is BS Anyway, he is such an hypocrite
ey wowhead, you missed one of the most anticipated information. Zekhan (aka Zappy boi) is also coming in 8.1 people found his voice files :https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/9i3eot/he_lives_81_spoiler/It might be tied with Saurfang.
Just be thankful every night elf in Teldrassil evacuated to Stormwind with Jaina's assistance.
