A terrifying general of the Legion, Brutallus' cruelty is known across thousands of worlds.
A fearsome presence, Malificus inspires dread in all foes who face him.
Si'vash commands the fury of the seas, and the fearsome warriors of her Honor Guard.
I don't think the chain is a problem, but I don't really like how they toned down the actual animation. I liked how the old version moved sporadically like a lightning bolt, then there was a big burst of shadow magic when your target landed. The new version seems really bland in comparison.
Jaina is pulling strings with the Legion. That is why she was so upset and left after Khadgar let the Horde join Kirin Tor again. She left before DH could see her and Khadgar could find out about her. You know her being a dread lord and all. wink* And the dk animations for death and decay need to be more like they originally were in Wotlk. More gore on the floor and death stench that cause your char to have nausaa while they are in the debuff, causing periodic vomiting.
"Another day, another glorious battle." Welcome back Brutallus :D
Death Grip and Death and Decay look awful, just keep them as they are.
The Sunwell Plataeu was merely a setback.
I like most of the new animations for DK, but I'm disappointed in 3 things.1: That the Wraith Walk animation is still not fixed. When the ability was first previewed all the way back on beta, blue posters adamantly said that the animation was very much a placeholder, and yet that very same placeholder made it live, and shows no sign of being updated any time soon.2: The new Death & Decay is too simplistic. Its hard to see, I can hardly see it on a clear light-colored ground. Can you imagine trying to see that thing on a dark-colored floor when 25 other AoEs are lying on top of it? I prefer the old one a lot more, because not only is it easier to see, the art of the attack on the ground is far more elaborate and detailed, despite the lower-res textures.3: The new Death Grip isn't really catching my eye. The spell is meant to be made of shadowy tendrils, not a physical chain and hook, leave that stuff to SV hunters and Outlaw Rogues. I vastly prefer the special shadow explosion animation that plays when a target is yanked to you.I sincerely hope that they eventually get to work on Wraith Walk, and have the courtesy of adding a few glyphs for those who like the old D&D and DG.
As a Death Knight main, the new animations look nice. I especially love the Howling Blast and Death Coil changes to incorporate your weapon into the animation - I always thought it looked weird putting away your weapon or weapons instantly to see a quick casting animation (depending on latency) and then instantly your weapon or weapons reappearing in your hands.I tend to agree with some of the other users here that the chain in the new Death Grip animation seems out of place. If it was made of pure shadow then it would make more sense, but as it is now it is rather strange.I wish that Death and Decay's graphic was green for Unholy Death Knights - the red is perfect for Blood and okay I guess for Unholy, but green would suite the specialization much better especially since Blizzard is starting to move towards specialization-specific animations and effects (mainly via Glyphs). Oh well, at the least there might be a Glyph for it in the future.
I do NOT like the new Death and Decay or Death Grip. Dnd is missing the red energy whoosh when you first cast it and I've always loved the big circle. Death Grip is totally wrong. It's not shot out from us and then we pull them back, we call on energy that's already there to just pull them in. We're not hunters throwing their harpoons we're Death Knights commanding unholy energy. Major major ick on that change and I'm never going to like it. Completely unnecessary.
I think I might be in the minority, but I actually love the new Death and Decay and Death Grip animations. The current Death and Decay has always felt a bit off to me for what it's supposed to be. I think it's too bright and glow-y, and it literally highlighted the low res textures way too much. A glyph to change it a nice dark green instead of red for Unholy spec would be nice, similar to the Death Grip glyphs that are coming.
Ah Brutallus, it has been awhile! This guy was a royal &*!@# during sunwell. It was a hard gear check back then, and glad to see he is back with the same level of %*!%!*%!@*%!@!* frustration. Too bad they didn't bring back all sorts of demons as world bosses, like Jaraxxus and Malchezar.I just watched the new dk animations and for the most part they are cool, especially howling blast. Death Grip though, no thanks. I love the magic animation of the target being pulled by dark magic to you. The new one may as well turn you into Scorpion for a brief second. o.O
This is from a thread i am posting in on the WoW forums where some players have called for NERFING the dps legendaries. and i say hell no! NO MORE NERFS! This poster has it right. They need to fix the drop rate or something and NOT nerf the items, so many have worked their butts off to get theirs and to nerf them when the soul reason of the game is to max and get BIS and then to have it nerfed is criminal! Also, the person in the post here that blizz answered, has NEVER done a Mythic raid, if that player is getting sat out, it surly is NOT for not having the right legendaries for possibly Heroic raiding. Look him/her up. You will see the parses are horrible and that they have not attempted mythic raid ever.Heres the reply that i agreed with from the WoW forums.
I prefer the idea of a shadowy 'grasp' for Death Grip, too - the chains idea should stay the reserve of Abominations like Stitches & Patchwerk...
God Death and Decay honestly looks worse.
