This gets addressed in "Before the Storm". There's a council that was picked by the Forsaken who were in Undercity while Sylvanas was out doing her thing. They were there to give some guidance to the other Forsaken. The issues with those who can't face going on, those who would be willing to try to reunite with family, and those who stand by Sylvanas as members of her army are all different. None of them really have a majority right now and some who do have opinions are sitting on them in light of the situation Baine that just happened. Sylvanas is standing on the edge of the cliff and the ground isn't real solid. She better have a goblin glider handy when she starts to fall because there are enough members of the Horde who are beginning to see what she has become and won't be backing her as the ground gives way. While I'm Alliance main, I've got my very first WoW character in the Horde. She's not going to follow Sylvanas. She's Blood Elf, raised by the Tauren, and isn't really happy with anything going on in the faction at the moment. It's going to be interesting to see this whole thing play out.
The Sylvanas character arc ended with Arthas' demise. Ever since she's just become more and more of a one-dimensional villain.
I personally do not appreciate Geyarah's epic quote being diluted with a biased commentary here and quoting a very confused and proven traitor Saurfang.Geyarah perfectly summarizes the whole issue: "Those who lack loyalty also lack honor." So right there she also resolves Saurfang's dilemma too: You can't talk about honor if you break your loyalties and start working with the enemy in the name of your honor to begin with and that's all.Don't do this Wowhead, you need to be neutral ;)
I don't like all this Sylvanas slandering and I don't want her gone at the end of all this. I hope it either goes the way of Thrall where she steps aside and goes for a personal growth journey or and I know this 99% likely WON'T happen but it would be cool if a third faction arose with her at the head. If they just kill her off, that's lazy and a really weak ending for such a long standing epic character and there are many won't like it very much.
it is impressive to read how many people lock the concepts in watertight compartments: loyalty = honor. sure, but without forgetting that we no longer owe any loyalty to those who act contrary to a universal ethic.
All this just because Genn started a war against Sylvanas in Stormheim. Bad dog.
I kind of suspect it to be a ruse, Sylvanas having already implanted some suggestion in Derek's mind, then waiting to see who would betray her. That way, she kills two birds with one stone, while having nothing to lose if it doesn't work.Either that or it's a precursor to the Light-side Forsaken becoming an Allied race for the Alliance. Jaina told Derek she knew someone that would understand what he's going through, which is probably a reference to Caila Menethil... and Caila wanted to create a place in the world for Non-Forsaken undead.
Sylvanas, the wretch queen afraid of death itself. Own your past, for Gods' sake. We need to know why she fell down this path (for certain, not speculation ;P I can't wait. As for Baine... I'm so glad to see him stand up for himself, whatever the cost. May the Nighborne, Tauren, Trolls, and Orcs come to their senses. Oppressive regime is not the answer. Hell, this war is not the answer.
