This structure could be intentional. Blizzard knows the majority WoW players are PVE only. Structuring the rewards around PVE-like activities lets those players focus on the activities they are more comfortable with, while also granting those players who enjoy the PVP / competitive aspect a nice leg up in that the number of players per match who are actually "in it to win it" will be limited. Those players can enjoy the ego boost of "winning" against 59 others even if 50 of them couldn't care less.
"PvP fights are a waste of time in this mode."LOL! That about sums up this waste of hard drive space.Maybe need to rethink your design when the purpose of a new 'feature' is counter-productive to it's end goal.
If PvP isn't worth doing, how come I'm constantly being killed by other players? I don't get it....
Where my 20$ fast track for the BP at?
I'm usually quite positive about wow, but I have absolutely nothing positive to say about this mode. I hope they quickly change the rewards to be easier to attain. It being limited time + requiring you to play for 40 hours to get everything just sucks.
The best way to progress in this PvP game is to avoid PvP.What a ridiculous concept.Further proof that no one seemed to properly think this one through before releasing it...Maybe a PTR WOULD have been a good idea.
What would have made it more interesting is having PvP turned on in the later stages of the event, when the circle is smaller, giving time for people to prepare and not instantly griefed by an overzealous pvper.
The only thing this mode needs is a small reward to your placements. Like it's been stated there is no reason to PvP. Introducing a small plunder gain would make it perfect. I think +10 or +5 per enemy you outlive. A first place win would grant an additional 600 (300 if +5) plunder, second place 590 (295) etc all the way to last place. That way there is a reason to actually try and fight.
Ok, I still have no idea how this works. I thought from the article I get 800 rep per day for a match? So I went in, 10s later someone killed me, and I got no daily or anything? So does this mean I have to win?
All the pvper's must be close to getting everything because as the day goes on I'm being hunted right out of the gate a lot more as the hours pass today. Still not even renown 5. I.HATE.THIS.
So wtf do you do with the actual Plunder? No one seems to know. No NPC to hand it into for rep or any nonsense. After several games of farming mobs I'm still not even renown 3. If this is gonna take 200+ hours, it's a hard %^&*! pass!
