There are a few people that has already mentioned this but i dont feel like this has been clarified enough.1. It should not be the consumers responsibility to buy the absolute newest CPU to be able to play world of warcraft with addons.2. Weakauras, Plater and Uniframes or any other addon should NOT be removed from wow. Some people like playing with it. Just because you dont play with it and dont experience this issue doesnt mean other people cant have an issue.3. For the people that is now baited into or started looking at PC modifications. Dont. I have a brand new PC (less than a year old) and im experiencing these problems aswell. I tried doing all these settings, yes they helped but im still struggling on fights like rashanan or broodtwister. If you aren't lagging be grateful that it isnt you. don't come to an online forum on a high horse acting like an idiot.4. Some classes or players are required to have certain addons or weakauras to play optimally. Aug need specific raid frames. Healers need specific raidframes. Adjusting the interval of update is literally a dps/hps loss if the other healers in your team has better CPU. Or a better update rate they can play stable with. So now raiding has become a Addon chicken fight on how few addons can i play with compared to the other guys with the setup i have. This is unreasonable.4.1 Here is a tip for all non healers/raidleader. Just dont use raidframes. That will significantly increase your performance. and if u dont interact with raid anyways like a fury warrior or a rogue. then its simply just better to remove it. 5. Now for what we all have missed. Why havnt Blizzard aknowledged or addressed this issue yet? Are they waiting for the storm to calm? Are they still oblivous? Can we not get a statement from them just saying "We are looking into the FPS issues, at the current time we can't say when or what causes this". Just for once some transparency from blizzard with a little bit of speed to show they care about us.
TWW is terribly optimized.I have a very good PC ( 7800X3D, 4080, 64GB ram, 6000mhz/CL30), but I have way worse FPS in Dornogal and Nerubar Palace than I had in Valdrakken and any DF raid. (I'm not saying that I have 20fps, but 55-80 in Dornogal vs. always 120+ in Valdrakken says a lot.)
I've done literally all of these and I still lag insane in raids. I don't even use elvui
I've been using ElvUI since early WotLK, tried everything including graphics settings, removing WAs, disabling portraits etc. but nothing helped. Had to disable ElvUI completely, reverted everything back except ElvUI and suddenly I'm having 90-140fps in 30man raid again.Got 7800x3D and 4080, with 32gb ram.I have never thought how much I got used to ElvUI, feels like I'm playing a new game without it. I very much like to go back to ElvUI for sure tho, its just unplayable at its current state for me with 9fps in raids. I also understand that testing every possible hardware/software combination is not realistic for an addon developer so just give it time, ElvUI developers will most likely fix the issues before Blizzard does.
This lag issue doesn’t seem to be caused by any addons. In my case, I didn’t experience any issues in Dragonflight, and even in TWW, there were no problems with Dorgonal or M+ or other contents. The only place where the issue occurs is in the Nerub-ar Palace raid. Even when I disable all addons and enter LFR in a clean state, the FPS drops to around 10+ frames at the same spot. It seems like there's something seriously wrong with the optimization of this raid dungeon. The solutions presented above might help a little, but they are not a fundamental fix.
LOL this thread is hilarious. You people really think addon developers are more optimal than blizzard? This game runs on a potato. These addon developers are often complete amateurs who learned to code from google and they hardly ever spend time to optimize or fix these bugs. Craftsim used to tank FPS when crafting mass quantities of stuff, it lasted like that for months. MONTHS.Nothing will ever be as efficient as default UI. If you have more than like 3 addons turned on, you're the problem. Try getting better at the game so you don't need all that.
