Good these sellers getting ridiculous. Next they need to get it out of trade somehow.
good. i'm tired to open raid/mythic+ menu on EU and seeing this like every day for 2-5 groups. next step is chats, where spamming is endless.but 1 day is nothing - these people has many that one account and they can wait or ask their associate to help for a day, then back again.
great. some limitation is also required for trade chat. also pleaeaease get rid of multiboxers too. farming herbs and mines seems pointless these days. they also dare them selves to 1 shot people with breathe of the dying. that's disgusting. and bot raw gold farmers perma ban them
At this point it's clearly evident why Blizzard is doing this. They WANT boosting to continue because it brings them a huge amount of money (people buy tokens with euros to buy boosts, and large communities move golds in the tens or even hundreds of millions), However at the same time, they don't want it to work through LFG because it makes life easy for the boosters. By banning LFG users, they force boosters to mantain 5-6 accounts too in order to spam trade chats, which brings them even more money. That's what this is about. They cannot claim that looking at LFG post "ruins the game experience" while allowing trade chat spammer to do what they do on literally every high pop server. If you log on and look at the trade chat for too long you're liable to get a seizure or something from the amount of spam going on! Isn't THAT ruining the game experience? As always, there is a simple solution if you actually wanna fix the issue, make a TRADE LFG window separate from the others, so people who want to use it will do so without bothering anyone else. Everyone will advertise there, people who don't use it wont see it and trade chat advertisement dies. Problem actually solved in 5 minutes.
LFG advert bans absolutley make sense. When you look at groups, you almost always see those. The ones on trade chat are not shoved up your arse. You just don't look there.
I report all those advertisings. It is soo freaking annoying that most of the list are these sellers. This is not a damn Chinese server.
It's a step in a good direction, I hope they will make this a regular thing with increasing penalties. If only they started suspending gold-mining bots and herb gathering bots, that would be even cooler...
About time, very much too late already actually. This !@#$ annoyed many people for too long already. Good that those boosting morons keep their bs in the trade chat only. Which is, at least for me, disabled anyway. So, no more annoying ads everywhere in game menus.
Trade Chat next please!
Trade chat is fine since its pretty much a service, a trade. You trade gold for being carried for items. At the same time, they could also make an Advertise channel but that won't happen so deal with it. They have to advertise their services somehow and it can be a lot of fun to create a boosting community, group and help people for gold, collecting feedbacks and have people trusting you. I have done it for years since Legion and i have many great experiences with it, made lot of friends and encountered nice people. People have no idea how many couples and dads, moms bought mount runs, loot runs because they had no time to get them on their own but they still wanted those items and everyone was happy. Creating a boosting community with a few friends was an awesome journey, recruiting boosters, finding customers, dealing with the gold cuts, rewarding people for finding more buyers. In legion we made +150 million gold in a few weeks with Argus. It was so great :)
Why not just add a feature so you can type in the search window what you don't want to see? So they can just type "16 -WTS" and it shows all keys 15 -17 without "WTS" in the title..
This blue post was from a long time ago. All this shows is the fact that blizzard yet again is not active about solving problems :))
Jeesh, it took them long enough to finally do something about this. Great job Blizzard!
Good, though a fix to the issue would be to be able to easily block groups advertising from your search results.
