Its entitled to expect Bronto owners to wait around for you, just go find another one or go to the city. But you do get those users who intentionally troll you. They will mount up then dismount, wait a few seconds then walk a few meters away then repeat, they will just run loops knowing full well they are baiting people who would like to use it.They know they are trolling people for their amusement and that's what gets peoples backs up.
Yeah, right.People in my server,at least, just like to run in circles. You tell me whos entitled.
At the same time, there's a special place in hell for the people that get on their longboi and then kick off the auctioneer and just wait for clueless players to walk by and be confused as to why they can't interact with the NPC.
I don't have time to read through all of the comments but I'd just like to also toss out a big thank you to all of you who park outside of the raid while waiting for your group or whatever. Someone always ends up needing to grab something they forgot from the AH before the raid starts and I don't think there has been a night where I haven't seen one so thanks and let me apologize for all of the rude people who think the world revolves around them. It would be a gfreat feature if you were able to ban players from accessing your personal AH.
This is one of the things I really wish I could personally change the norm of.I am seeing a bunch of people recommend Longboi owners to go to the outer ring to prevent being harassed when they do a quick shop themselves, but i think it is just dumb that they have to go out of their way, just to not get hateful messages from other players.Personally I feel like the ideal scenario would be the other way around.Inner Ring = People just quickly doing their buisnessOuter Ring = Longboi owners that AFK for extended periods of timeGood luck coordinating this thoughout the entire playerbase over different servers and regions though...(since it's important for this discussion, my point of view is that of a non-longboi owner, but with engineering)
Here's my tip: If you actually need to use the Brutosaur mount, None will be available. Plenty of Yaks Mammoths will be adjacent to the Transmog NPCs, but no Long Necks in sight. So If you just want to see them, Zone into your capital city, use the Auction House there, then zone back into Oribos. Boom. Dinosaurs everywhere. But if you want to use one? You're out of luck.
Simplest answer - rather than LF one of these mounts, in Oribos... just use the portals there to port to Stormwind/Orgrimmar & use the AH's there - really IS less grief all round.
Being in the majority of players and not being able to afford a Longboi, I want to first off thank those that do park it in Orb for us to share. Yeah, it's not that much longer to go to Stormwind and use the AH there, but sometimes those few mins. are a big difference. (Or being lazy like me lol) While I never have, nor ever will message someone with a Longboi to insult them or be rude because they moved, or went on their way, I am sorry you have to deal with these jerks. I am sure there are many many more, like myself, that just quietly do their thing and move on, and if interrupted by you moving, just go someplace else.
I wasn't "lucky" to get this mount. I spent months of intense gold farming ;)
So far, in my case, the only time something unpleasant happened regarding the Bruto, was ...another Bruto owner.I saw a mount next to mailbox, so I walked up and tried using it, figuring it'd be bad to make a crowd... they turned vendor to the wall. I have "interact" keybind set, so I could still use it, and they clearly realized, and ejected the vendors. I did a /shrug IRL and got on my own bruto then, and two things happened. Few people made a cautious beeline for me, and a whisper full of expletives arrived from the other bruto owner about "being spoilsport" "stealing his mount" and "spoiling his fun with poorfrags". I ignored the funsucker (that was either Perc or Lisa Poisso who coined the term, iirc) immediately, such people are not worth even a second of my life.I seldom idle afk, but this time I was on an alt, about to queue for LFR and go grab my lunch. So I left the bruto there.Imagine my surprise when I got back a few minutes later to find a few ingame mails with things (a splatter of few gold, herbs and ore), and quite a few warm thank-you's. I guess I'm being spoiled by traditionally strong sense of community on the european RP servers cluster where I roll :)It there is one thing Blizzard are doing VERY wrong here, is that we STILL don't have account-wide blacklist... so that we could just perma-remove funsuckers from our lives.
God bless each player with AH mount that stands in Oribos!
Toss a gold to them...but...we gave them all of the gold they used to buy by buying their stuff off of the Auction House. Now, they use their longboi to continue to own the auction house, and I bet if given the option to NOT let others access it, they would take it.
Go to the mailbox. If they're not afk there, then don't count on the AH being usable. Even then, it's temporary. They play the game too. It's not like they get a cut when you buy/sell through their longboi. If you need to do a lot of AH stuff, use an engineering alt.
i typically try to be mounted on my bruto anytime i am in oribos, and will often let my client log off from inactivity to allow people to use it... i feel fortunate to have earned the mount and i enjoy sharing it with others <3
