Books, movies, and video games are all media you pay for and consume for your entertainment. In no way are you entitled to have them made your way. And you're right, Blizzard asked for feedback, and that's all it is. It's feedback. That's it. What you're doing is going above and beyond. DEMANDING they make the game your way and DEMANDING they add the content you want.Self entitlement. Also you're monthly fee is for server maintenance and upkeep to allow you to play online. Your monthly fee is not an ownership stake in WoW. Removed
I want a full beard on my BELF((Btw tmog system could use some improvement, like choosing where to sheath your 1handed weapons
Was hoping for more Mag'har customization. Dragonmaw orcs are missing. Yeah, they weren't part of the Iron Horde on Draenor, but Zaela and her clan helped them with Blackrock Spire. Right now you can get close to one, but not exactly like one. Also: Hairstyles - could we get at least all the available Orc hairstyles on Mag'har? They're basically the same people and all.
I personally would not mind having to wait a bit longer for more options. There is still a pandemic and working from home is not the easiest when it comes to bouncing ideas of each person. Some of you will moan for the sake of moaning but really don't quiet get the work pressure some of this is entailing. Look at the beginning of SL and how much people bit@?ed about the systems not being right, loot drops, Anima etc etc. SL was not ready for release but they where forced to release it anyway because of demands. They are now focused on other things, because we are moaning we want more content. More customization will come but not until the next expac, which hopefully will have loads and loads (people will still moan)
we got this instead of another class/race as big selling point and now they just stop midway it seems. those customization options should have been out 6 years ago the latest anyway imo. also need more race/class combos, too. they are just lazy as always. edit: blizz is no fing indy company and Im so sick of ppl whiteknighting them all the fing time, compare the effort thats going into ff14 vs wow and its just laughable at best.
"Focus on adding more content to the game" Blizzard proceeds to re-use the Legendary armor sets for 9.1 raid gear, effectively cutting dev time down.I'm honestly baffled as to why there wasn't more character customisation added in 9.1 to build on that character customisation hype that 9.0 brought to the game. It's nuts that they're this out of touch with their playerbase, it was one of the biggest features that players were looking forward to because it meant they could finally add some variance to their characters to separate themselves a tad from looking like every other person playing that race.First it was tier sets/class sets that they just abandoned and then claimed it allowed them to shift resources and it did, BFA brought in Warfront gear resembling certain races within their respective faction. Fast-forward to Eternal Palace onwards they pretty much stopped that, why? They were on a roll and I stopped worrying so much about the lack of class/tier sets because it seemed like we were getting things in exchange for it but then they stop midway. It's the same thing with these character customisations, they're on a roll and they're killing it with the additions and then suddenly they're done for the rest of the expansion? Why? It's so well received, why stop short? I seriously don't understand their design decisions sometimes.
The heck is up with people basically saying we're spoiled? Got some new customization recently after basically a decade of nothing new, so we should just be satisfied?Isn't that more reason to be dissatisfied? The state of customization in WoW- one of the biggest MMO's in the industry with billions behind it- is awful, even with the extra stuff added recently. Everyone wants more, why is anyone sitting in comments defending Blizzards silly unwillingness to do what the community wants when it's so obviously doable?
My personal opinion is I am fed up of Blizzard always acting like its such hard work to do literally anything. They are a multi-billion dollar company and its too much effort to add a few new hairstyles or tattoo options etc? It just doesn't ring true to me and feels like an inconvenience to them and I'm struggling to suss out why that is. Do they not want us to love our characters that we have invested years of effort into? Do they not want us to stand out and be proud of how our characters look? Isnt that a big part of 'player agency' that they always go on about?
Lets refute some of the common comments here:"Why do you want tattoos and hairstyles you will never see under armour."You can hide all armour and helmets except leggings, so a lot of this is viewable if you choose."We want gameplay fixes and class updates not need hairstyles!"The developers who create hair styles and extra customisation are artists and not the same developers who do class design."The WoW community sucks and people will always complain like babies."Asking for more customisation does not mean people are always complaining. You are making a subjective (derogative) judgement because this isn't a priority for you, so you're deciding to label it negatively. "We just got a load more customisation with SL, we should be happy and not greedy!"I think people are happy with the customisation we received so far; it was a huge success. However there is also a lot more room for customisation and Blizzard implied there would be more forthcoming, so people are rightly disappointed that they announced that there would be nothing new for this entire expansion cycle.Continuous improvement is continuous. Blizzard do not balance the game at expansion launch and they say they're done. People don't want to wait for years again before more customisation. Some races, particularly allied races, are now left behind in basic options."People should not act entitled."Again, you are putting labels on here. People are enthusiastic, and there has been plenty of feedback provided to Blizzard."If you don't like it play another game."The whole reason people are upset is because they like WoW and they want to see it better. Character customisation has always been a weak point for WoW but doesn't have to stay that way. SL showed great promise and injected a lot of excitement.Lastly I'd just say, people don't get to decide what is and isn't important to the player base. It is for the community to decide as a whole.
