I see whiners everywhere.Everyday now, hah.Blizz is clearly stating that you shouldn't be farming the ass out of Azerite untill the end of January, unless, you're going for WORLD/REALM firsts. If you guys aren' in that small group of people, then you're the ones with no reason, Blizz is doing their job, there are actually other content to do in 8.1, if some people chose to close their eyes to them, then, unsub, you'll feel less frustrated, if not with your life, with the game. With this hiatus untill the raid launches, you should be aiming at other stuff, like bringing more alts to the cap, for instance. If all you do is 1-5% of the content and it is staggered or in hiatus, then I'm sorry for you, this game might not be for you, sincerely.
Seeing all this hateful and toxic nonsense people are spewing at each other makes me sick. Makes me want to chug the sun. Anyway, I can see how this can be bullish, and stupid, but I can understand it. I figure they did this because they wouldn't want the top tier mythic raiders unlocking all the latest gear's powers right off the bat. Make them learn how to face the mechanics without needing all the azerite powers to help them out.
Being a mythic raider, it would tilt me to no end to have to spend weeks grinding peanuts for AP to try to hit high enough to unlock the azerite traits for just the 2 outer rings, losing 2 rows of azerite traits in the process. Sure most of the strength is still there, but its doing a bad job hiding the fact that its just another treadmill. Its not fun having to unlock the same traits you already had again. Plain and simple, it feels like you're taking things away from players only to give them back again in a few weeks.
They buffed raw AP gain from WQ and Follower Mission. That in itself already considered a AK increases, now that the base raw AP gain has been buffed, when the next AK roll out, you'll benefit slightly more than it was pre 8.1.I am pretty sure if you do your Emmisary and Island expeditions, you'll reach rank 38 by the time next raid open. . You don't even need to "grind". People, yet again, have the mentality of "The sky is falling" on every bit of "bad news".I have 4 toon, My main is rank 34, rest is 30-31I never get out of my way to farm AP.>I only do AP WQ if i am forced to do so in order to complete my emmisary>I stopped doing Island Expedition when i reached rank 33. I reached rank 33 like ~2month ago. And for my other 3 toon, i stopped doing IE when they reach rank 30.>Follower mission if there's no gold/augmented rune mission, and i'm only do AP mission that are less than 4hr. I never done AP mission on my 3 other toon. The biggest contribution of my AP are from Warfront turn ins. And i did not turn in all the Warfrotn contributions quest. If you do your Islan Expeditions every week and Emmisrary every day. I am pretty sure you'll reach rank 38 by the time next raid releases.People need to stop over reacting and actually think for a moment... It's literally "Just play the game" no need to grind like Legion... Y'all forgot the grind for that 5% damage increases back in Trial of Valor?
why did we get patch 8.1 now? :(
I love how many people are whining. I'm at 31 with minimal effort over the past 2-3 months. When all I need is roughly 37 for all the dps traits under mythic of the new raid. I'm not far off and I should easily have it by the time I get there. It's really easy to get Azerite. Just do your warfronts turn ins and weekly islands. Along with emissaries that give azerite. It's not hard and its all stuff you can do within a day.
Yeah... they did an absolutely stellar job of communicating this to us ahead of time! /sNot like this is something people want to know about in advance or anything.People have been asking about if Azerite Knowledge level had a cap or not since before the expansion even released. They never did give us a straight answer back then. They just seem to be in love with being frustratingly opaque as to how this system in intended to function, for some reason. The current Knowledge level isn't even displayed in game anywhere. (Unlike in Legion) Leaving plays to just sorta guess what the current effect is and if it has or has not increased in effect since the last time they checked in on the game. It's absolutely boggling how many steps backwards we've taken going from Legion to BFA. Is the beta over yet?
If I'm not wrong, currently there is no single azerite trait or combination of traits that is worth more than 15+ ilvl of stats. So even if you lose those traits because you only did the minimum AP grind and don't have the neck level to unlock them on the new items, the sheer stat increase will make up for any loss numerically. The only thing you might miss is QoL stuff like Gallant Steed for pallies.
At this point I have four characters at 120 -- three have their Hearts of Azeroth at level 28-30, and I don't actively go out and farm Azerite for them. It's just too much of a drain on time and interest to do more than the minimum. I don't like Island Expeditions so much that I'd do the weekly on all of them, let alone go and grind it elsewhere. As long as I've reached the minimum required, I'm happy.
This is really bad change. AK should continue to increase every week.
There's a ton of AP gain with the new war quest line. I'm almost tempted not to do it until next month because it would so greatly increase the AP gained. There's just no reason for this. I feel like the amount of people working on WoW has dwindled. It's like they can't get stuff done. BfA itself was released extremely unfinished. I almost feel sorry for the good devs (not Ion or any management) who I'm sure work very hard but simply can't get the job done. One person can only do so much. ATVI needs to get itself together, soon.
15 ilvls is 63 main stat, 42 if you count the lower peice has +5 ilvls, most classes thats what? 90 dps? The traits are most def worth more than the ilvl jump. That was me looking at my 2 shoulders in my bags.
I stopped caring about this ever since Blizzard started to timegate things, there is no point, since everything is time gated anyway. Basically Ian is your lord and you can only progress when Ian allows. So screw it. I even won't bother returning at beginning of 8.1. Why? Because why the hell do I want to go through weeks of timegated content, quest chaper per week,... If I can just wait and basically have it all at once. And it is funny how timegating makes everything pointless. If I fall behind, I will have easy time to catch up, if I try hard to progress, I will be stopped, because I am not allowed to do so. So why bother. And I couldn't care about less about AP, this is not just about AP, it is just about pretty much everything Blizzard is doing since Legion. And you know what is funny? Usually when I unlock something fully, it is happy moment, I got it, yay. You do know what I felt when I unlocked last Azerite trait before 8.1? Nothing. Bare, empty nothing. No joy, no excitement, just nothing. But that is not what Blizzard thinks, more of timegating and RNG they put in, more "exciting" it is to them. And I feel this is exactly disconnect we saw with Diablo Immortals, where Blizzard in their infinite wisdom thought it was smart to conclude with announcement of mobile game in front of show full of PC fans who really don't like mobile gaming. And that disconnect is more and more showing with BFA.
