They're 100% right. Even people who 'quit' WoW, come to third party fansites to $%^& on it. They can't get it out of their heads, ever. So they'll come here, which gives ad revenue, which incentivizes more articles, which reaches more people, which then brings in more returning players. I had 10 friends resub this month. Ten. Some haven't played since Mists. Why?Honestly, we were just bored. They would be all "What are you doing today?" and i'm just fighting a duck boss for easter or running M+ or just collecting transmogThat turned into two resubbing for M+ content.. then 3 more.. Then some bought it for the first time. Now there's ten of us.. in less than two weeks. And they may unsub after this month and not pick it up again for a year or longer or whenever. For me personally, I'll read about community outrage and it makes me feel good to know I'm enjoying my life while they cry about whatever is killing current WoW. :DOh, and just to rub dirt into the wound. Every single one of them is playing Plunderstorm. >.>
That's a whole lotta words to say nothing at all.
They're better off with a multi-seasonal show on Amazon or Netflix. One season can be an expansion or some &*!@.
20+ years, I wonder what they think their audience is. There are no new players. The only playing are people from the beginning. So we will be around 60 years old then. They really should stop with this stupid ughaboogha faster, harder, louder m+ and ADHS kiddy fomo events. They should calm wow down to what it once was. Implement housing already, re-add archaeology, brawlers guild and new pet dungeons. Chill stuff for older people that we can do in our own pace whenever we want and not when devs tell us to.
After the mess that was the past-its-time Warcraft film, I think the franchise is better served avoiding that area.
