Don't like, don't make. Yes there is a limit on the ignore feature, yes there is an addon. Glad it stops me from using my own illusionsous (whatever) insight on making my alt something in a personal order, that stops me and makes me look to see if i got the right order done. Telling me exactly what isn't fulfilled before i go straight up ignoring someone is good, for those who may just not know. AFterall you can decline with message yes?
the addon no mats no make still does better then blizz as it tells you b4 you click on it to start the order.
these warnings are good because the system is full of scammers but Blizzard should make possible to turn them off if I make things via personal order for my alts within one account. In such a case it is useless and annoying.
Even with an add-on, as a Scribe I still have to click through 30 types of order listed to see there are no orders with all the mats (and again to see if they have some/none but with a decent enough tip to cover the cost, which sometimes happens for treatises). It's something I would like to see designed into the Blizzard search screen - options to show only orders with All and/or Some mats. I would also like Sort by Commission / Expiry date to be sticky, not have to reapply it after every search.I agree that there should be a better way than just adding someone to an Ignore list. I would like a Report button for the most egregious scammers (those listing dozens of orders for no mats/10g tip). Or for Blizzard to look at the data to see how many have a person on Ignore and issue them a behaviour warning/suspend their account. I accept there's a borderline - I've got two scribes on different realms, so I've crafted a few of the Drake Customisation orders for guild mates at "mates rates" & supplied some of the materials I've spent my own time gathering, and one or two for Public Orders with a lower commission than crafting cost (the ones with the barding cost around 5-7K in materials, and often orders are up for 4-5K gold; the ones without barding cost around 2-3000 gold in materials, so 2K is a slight loss).I like that the change is highlighted as a warning amber with a different icon. As well as "red" indicating "stop", it would also make it useless to those who are genuinely colour-blind and would not be able to see the difference. One other QoL change I would like to see is a CO hammer as well as the Mail icon on my log-in screen. With multiple crafters I've often had my own orders expire as I've forgotten I've, for example, sent a recraft order to an alt.
Or at least add a prompt to make it more awkward for the person not supplying all the mats: "Are you sure you want to place this order without all the materials?" - make it as awkward for them as this change has made it for the Crafters!I'd also love for a commission guideline to be added, based on the average sale price of materials on the AH over the last 24 hours. If they are separate systems, then it should still be possible to do a batch-load of overnight "yesterday's sale price" data for each commodity into the Craft Order system. TSM add-on manages it, so there's no reason Blizzard could not do it. The commission guideline could then be set more accurately: based on material cost + 15% (to include Blizzard's cut + 10% tip), rather than "last commission" offer prices, which are often missing and biased by both scam orders and people placing weekly orders for alts at 1g. Alternatively, add a prompt for low commission. Base it on previously completed orders with similar amounts of materials (all/some inc. mettle, some ex-mettle, none) - to eliminate scam orders from the calculation "This commission is low compared to other, similar orders. Consider raising it to X".
