FINALLY! No more sudden Shadow Crash on some freaking banners or whatever.
This was driving me crazy, camera zooming in due to some minor obstructions as you move/turn, and then slowly, sloooowly zooming out again, but somehow fast enough that you couldn't properly click on things.
Never thought this could happen. I'm guessing they separated the collision-boxes of WMO and Doodads in the code of the cameras! That is awesome!
holy.. *!@# lol, wow. Now we just need slight transparency when something like a tree or partial wall is obstructing the camera like most third person games.
hopefully this interacts good with the scroll zoom. depending on dungeon or soloing outdoor i rather have my char more insight or rather enjoy the Environment. wondering if i regularly use my scroll wheel if that interferes with the settings in this feature.
So i can finally see something as tank? great
After 20 years Im so used to the camera, that I wouldn't change it. But they could fix water collision.
so good
The roleplayer in me is applauding! Great change! Finally a waltz through Stormwind is no longer a camera obstacle course.
Damn that's a nice change! Finally!
I have wanted this for 18 years.
I change I wasn't expecting but holy cow! I do want it so bad! :D
This is an absurdly huge win. The constant zoom in was by far one of the most annoying visual things in the game. You bet your rear I'm turning this on day one. I don't know about everyone else, but I absolutely HATE the camera zoom on every little tiny polygon that's just slightly obscuring a fraction of a percent of your character's pixels. Coupled with some of the other changes, that are by all means expected features in modern games, coming, WoW's gonna feel so very different.
Thank goodness. This is one of the most frustrating things about the game and it really needed this. Finally! Honestly they should make this default for new accounts.
Good, now please, at least for showing things like these, it's not needed to put in very high resolution videos. Not everyone has top internet/engine to watch things 'smoothly'. For little stuff like these up to 720p is enough, I guess what we're seeing is 1080p here. My internet is 'fast' enough for higher stuff download but 'streaming', either pc or mobile devices, higher resolution 'stream' videos isn't a great experience.Edit: WTF? Just tried downloading one of the videos and it had 1440p ? Come on Wowhead haha. Smoother experience for the majority. Showcasing videos like these don't need to be that high on resolution, unless someone is watching from very high resolution devices like higher end PC, TVs, projecting on walls. Tablets, Smarthphones, and most PC it's not needed, and you'll even need less bytes to upload too.
