Very nice addition but why not just make it a toy so we don't have to waste a bag space for an item you created to solve a problem you created.
That was a lot of text just to tell us we can buy a new item now.I'm not complaining, but let's just say saying it in the first phrase would be better than explaining why they implemented that change after.
I already postedy feedback on this on the ptr instead of wowhead
i guess clicking on it was too complicated
While this is definitely a quality of life improvement for the ability, needing to buy an item seems like an obtuse way to fix the ability, especially when it's functionality apparently already exists fro free without taking up an item spot. Why not just give the gateways the same property as some other activateable objects/npcs have where they can be clicked through other players/mobs.
This change would have been god tier for Carapace of N'Zoth Mythic!
IMO they should implement something like what they have in FF14, where there is a keybind that makes so you ignore player interaction.Ex.: while you hold shift, your clicks will ignore players/enemies and will only click on interactable objects/NPCs.This way it would get rid of this problem alongside with the one where you can't click auctionhouses/objects on crowded areas
It is a bit like the stone that made you use the gateway when you passed through it then, now it is an activable.
You people seem to have it the easy way your whole lives :DI can't believe we're getting so much complaints about a feature that's only helpful and fully optional. Just quit the game already, nobody wants you here.
Please make this a toy, my bags are already cluttered :(
I should've expected all the comments would be people whining, lmao.
I love how no one in the comments realizes what this item is actually used for..... It is for the grinders in Korthia to use random warlock gateways into the trees......
First thing: I remember using that 'mouseover' trick in some old dailies, specially at the Molten Front area, together with 'Interact With Target' too. I decided just to put the NPCs in a /tar List too and, as I remembered where the 'Target Frame' was, I used the mouseover on that area, since some dailies require you to be on the move. We can use these in many different ways, and I don't see some people taking their 'Focus Target' out of whoever they're focusing spells (tanks, healers, bosses, target of PInfusion, etc...) for just the gateway. Maybe just on those bosses, yeah.About the Item, Blizz should instead make it a toy, even if expensive, or, like other people already said, a 'spell'.As for that Knockback evasion with DG, DHs (glide), Mages (teleport), Hunters (disengage. SV has Harpoon too), DKs (DAdvance), Warriors' Leap, Rogues (Sub and Assassins with teleport and Outlaw with Hook), Druids (wild charge, feral/guardian interrupt), already have means to mitigate knockback effects, in a way, some need a target, some not.
It's cool to see an item that is both flavourful and practical like this, as all it does is making certain strategies more accessible to a wider audience or otherwise improve quality of life for things that could already be achieved via macros. I approve of this and other additions/improvements like it!I do agree that it could be even more useful if it was made a toy rather than a physical item clogging up inventory space though.
