So are Ret Paladins & DPS Warriors going to get a penalty for putting on a shield also?
Good change, this shouldn't have been a thing. Anyone complaining about this is being silly.
Good change, this could create unhealthy play patterns.
It always shocks me the lengths people will go to just to get a 0.001% dps increase
that's it blizzard, always ending the fun, and destroying the dks. it really just does &*!@.
This is basically on the same level as Stance Dancing for Warriors.Better swap the weapon for the proc otherwise I'll lose 5% of my overall DPS.If you prefer playing that way, cool, but if people start to enforce this playstyle on ALL frost dk, it'll upset people. That's the point of this change.
Anyone who have not seen this coming or suspected that this will come is deluded. I really cant understand the mentality of the player that the moment something they can exploit and gain alot more power over everyone else gets removed they start to rage. Is it similar to drug addicts or alcohoolics when you take their toy they face withdrawal?I mean , my big problem with Blizzard is that it keeps telling me to go #$%^ myself for the past 2 expansions and this will be the 3rd because I like playing all specs of my class.
so many butthurt people over removing a degenerate gameplay. why are you so hurt literally whenever blizzard makes ANY decision
I created an account because some of these comments are tragic to read.NO, this is not a bad change, this is a good change, when you're all crying out for other melee classes like fury and shield users should have similar penalties etc, no that is not the case and completely irrelevant and incomparable. It's very apparent that many of you either cannot remember or did not play WotLK. The only class that is somewhat similar is the rogue, who has a unique weapon enchant in the form of poisons, in WotLK rogues did have a very similar situation where they would use multiple weapons with different poisons, this was not a bad concept for things like anesthetic poison for enrage dispels or crippling poison but it became an issue with damage based poisons.Long story short, rogues would have weapons with deadly poisons till it stacked to 5, then macro swap to dual instant poison weapons for the duration of 5 stack deadly poison since deadly poison had now become a dead poison slot at 5 stacks, then switching back to deadly shortly before deadly expired simply to apply deadly once to refresh the duration. Because of how much of a dps increase this was and once it became wide spread knowledge there was an addon created that did all this automatically for the player with no player input other than simply having to poison the weapons.Blizzard soon broke the addon and reworked deadly poison into essentially turning into instant poison at 5 stacks, ultimately to achieve the same goal as the weapon swap would do. This is kind of the situation dks would be in had this remained in the game, except for the fact that it's an unintended dps gain by gaining more runeforges than intended plus automation addons for it are not allowed and blizzard will not give dks the same treatment as they did rogues for a very simple reason:They made it into a baseline thing for rogues because of what deadly poison actually did and how it worked : once 5 stacks of deadly poison where on the target, the poison had peaked and was now a dead poison slot until the duration was about to expire. The rogues weapon swap concept was a good idea of fixing this issue.DK runeforges while similar in concept of application, the effect is not the same, the change rogues had to deadly poison is already on razor ice by also doing instant frost dmg along with increasing your damage, razor ice is not a dead enchant at 5 stacks like deadly poison was in WotLK.All they are doing is stopping you from stacking more runeforges than intended, that is all.It is a good change.
