Omg plz yes. Wanted this since tbc
Weapon tokens? Really? I'm not sure I like that...
More player choice is always nice
I guess that sucks in a way because it kinda means there isn't a Castle Nathria weapon (I know tons of people would really want Remornia, Denathrius's sword, so hopefully that's like a drop like Aggramar's Taesalach), but this does seem to be an interesting QoL, cause some classes live and die by their weapons and having some consistency for that isn't bad.
So we will be eventually guaranteed the raid weapon this way? And is this in replace of any gear from a boss or in addition?
Gonna assume that means we can't get weapons and such from the cache when it comes to raid loot.On the other hand, I guess that means some won't need to worry about weapon type, in Nathria at least.Frost/Fury/etc can just get a token and pick the weapon they want rather than unfortunately receiving a 1-hander or vice versa.
Besides trading these tokens around to better optimize guild progression, personal loot doesn't seem appropriate to have this type of loot appear. If they are bothering to bring these tokens back, they might as well open up classic loot options at the same time. That at least would compliment this type of loot reward better than seeing these in a PUG run.
Hmm, they could have just as easily not put weapons on the weekly chest loot table if this was their reasoning.Definitely not going to complain about being able to choose my weapon, though... well hopefully choose it.
But I want Remornia, not some random token oO .... :(
This is actually an awesome change in terms of weapon accessibility for a lot of specs.Well done Blizz.(I hope we get weapon xmog from somewhere else, though :P)
The idea seems to guarantee that the weapons fall in line with your covenant theme.
Regardless of weapon appearance theme I think this is great. Some specs don't have many other specs that share weapons, let alone hoping they're in the same raid. Combining it back to tokens should make trading around a good bit easier.
Nice addition. This is going to increase trade amongst players for classes who have unique weapons, such as demon hunter glaives or hunter ranged weapons. A good change in my opinion.
I like weapons tokens -- I don't like that off-hand/shield are separate from other weapon tokens. The problem I've had in BfA thus far is constantly getting a main hand instead of an off-hand. Hopefully this is rolled into one single token, or there's some kind of loot protection so I don't have 10 one handed weapons and no off-hands.
For me this shows that they will nerf the droprate of loot for the raid. So they added a way to get weapons if you are unlucky basicly.
