A once a day event on a crystal that isn't always up. If the crystal spawns maybe once every 10 minutes, 6 players (or 30 if grouped) can do the event in an hour. If it spawns every 15 minutes, that's only 4 players (or 20 players) can do it. Looking at between 96 (or even fewer)-720 players in a day per shard that can do the event. No wonder it's so lucrative. It's only for the lucky few that spawn camp the crystal and are quick to click it. You'd have to shard hop to potentially find a crystal or get lucky with a group invite while hoping that group can get the crystal before another one does.Perhaps Blizzard should have really taken a hard pass on MoP before they even put it on the PTR for testing. They could have discovered a lot of these farms long ago to avoid the hyperspawn farmers and now potentially the crystal campers. I suppose live and learn ... for Blizzard. If they do this event again for another expansion, perhaps they'll take a better look at what players may do to bypass the system before that ever makes it to live. But it's Blizzard. It'll go live and people will get punished for Blizzard's oversight. As an FYI, I didn't frog farm. I was going to look into it last Thursday and Friday when I was off from work so I could play catch up on bronze and get a bit ahead of my goal, but I was at work when it got nerfed. While I agree the froggers needed nerfing, that's a failure on Blizzard's part to even allow it in the first place. Now they're in an arms race while always a step (or more) behind the farmers. If they even remotely paid attention to what players did back in MoP, they would have headed off the farming spots already. I suspect most of the developers from back then are long gone as is potentially the player collected data from back then, too. Rather than listen to the players, they now have their fingers in their ears singing songs while they're trying to figure out what players will do next that they'll then nerf.
I just did this farm and it's absolutely disappointing. Someone pin this as to not waste anyone's time.First off, the respawn timer of the crystal you gotta click on is horrendously slow.I went affliction and killed probably 100-150+ of them in that minute. Though I'm not gonna give exact numbers, these are estimates.- Less than 400 bronze- 9 Fortune coins- barely 800 timeless coins- 9 threads- 5 greens- 2 pets
And here I am more intereted in the addon/weakaura that is showing bronze and threads per hour....
500 threads is a real stretch.
Nerf this!
there is like 40 people camping the crystals, i managed to get it got like 15 threads and 2k or so bronze its not worth in the slightest also on a daily lockout better off going over to the bots farming Archiereus of Flame and just tagging it every 5 minutes you'll get more bronze/threads in an hour than you will camping that crystal (and not getting the tag anyhow). nice fluff post though...
this info is so bad, only one can do this. this is trash event
Not really worth the effort. If you're going to do it, just do it for fun like I do.
A few notes:- We listed group as "Neverending Spritewood"- Re-spawn timer was consistently around 15 minutes, possibly running from the end of the prior spawn- Crystal can form anywhere along rock walls, so we spread out- Non-runners pop lust and meta gems to assist the successful clicker- The ground looks like sparkles afterward, requiring 10 to 20 loots to get everything- I did not catalog the haul, but it was not as small as some prior posters referenced. That may be a product of how many killed.
Either this is nerfed already or it's not just true, cause it didn't give very much of anything.
MoP remix is a waste of time people will just cry to have your stuff taken away and blizzard will do it.
That's cool and all but how the heck are you tracking threads on your cloaks? I haven't been able to find a single command string or macro/addon for it anywhere.
