Wait why get rid of affixes that are working well?Wouldn't it be far better to retire ones that don't work while they get redone and replace them with new ones? Why risk having an entire rotation of intolerable affixes?
Some of the comments here are absurd. Why was this developer not challenged on these views?Getting rid of good affixes? But keeping crap like Explosive where you fight against the game interface (always bad design). You should remove the bad ones. Insane.Thundering is one of the worst affixes I've seen for a while. It does not play well with many of the boss mechanics, and can kick in at extremely bad times. Quite often it kicks in at a completely useless time, so there's no benefit to the increased damage. It can be hard to see with all the other stuff going on. Very few people have positive things to say, but this one guy who came up with it thinks it's amazing.RP is tedious to wait through, it slows the game down, and it's frustrating with a ticking timer because nothing you can do about it. This developer seems to think it's a good thing. People do not want to listen to HoV RP over and over. The dungeon difficulty is all over the place, which shows poor balance. You should never see the disparity we're seeing. This guy seems completely divorced from the game, can't see all the obvious issues, and basically seems to be drinking his own kool aid.
I don't think its a problem some dungeons are more challenging than others, but the difference between SBG and RLP is pretty extreme. Enrage soothing is only useful on the very big trash mobs, because otherwise it takes a GCD and is single target, and has a 10s cooldown as well. So even if you have multiple soothers, you will just have to work around it anyway.
I really just want Drums to be on paar with BL
I actually like thundering. The most enjoyable seasonal affix yet for me.
They are happy with Thundering but players are not happy. Season 1 with Thundering and +20 for weekly is fail so far. Blizzard are trying to kill the only content that keep the game alive, gg!
M+ in general I think is awful. The fated/WOTLKC style they're doing is way better than "hey let's add speedrunning!". They should adopt that format, and put M+ back to being Challenge Mode with cool transmog/effects/mounts/etc. for the people who want to e-sport things. Start it off at like +10 or the equivalent ("Bronze" as it used to be) and go up from there with leaderboards and such for the people who want it. But keep it out of the "normal" design and have dungeons get a fated buff and drop previous raid's loot when a new tier comes out.
id really like to know where the devs get their feedback from... people like thundering? what? ive been playing m+ very actively with about 14 people in bfa and sl, this number is down to 3(me included) now. in my semi casual guild a lot of people stop pushing above 10 because of thundering. i wont even start complaining about dungeon difficulty discrepancy because by now it should be awfully obvious to anyone that runs a few dungeons every week.tier sets pls. biggest downer for non raiders is having to beg to rngesus to have at least one tier set in your vault. yea yea i know catalyst comes in next week, way to late. why? no reason other than making pseudo competetive event mildy more interesting.i heavily agree m+ this season is the worst since its introduction. reintroducing stale old content doesnt spice things up, its just lazy. its why people dont run timewalking because why would they? the rewards are nonexistant, the dungeon design was awful back then. only reason to go on tw dungeon is to get some random upgrade out of a chest for an alt youre not actively playing because reasons. even then its so boring most people i know dont do it and ignore the random upgrade.bugs. test your *!@# dungeons please. i had like 9 16s+ bricked because of buggy bossfights. i get it, they happen - what i dont get is when those bugs were reported in a beta test people actively participated to minimize those. why are bosses in a timed dungeon bugged on live servers for 6 straight weeks now. theres no reason other than incompetence. my subs running out in 3 weeks, ill probably check back in 10.3 or whatever patch they manage to fix this hot garbage but until then im having fun somewhere elseenjoy
It's just my perception that most of the specs do 2-4x my damage (frost mage) with the same iLvl or lower, now I see! And I thought something was wrong with this class, I was such a fool to believe that. It was all in my head this whole time!
Very worrying to me that they are "overall happy" with thundering. I'm honestly shocked they said this. How can they be patting themselves on the back for that utter piece of garbage of an affix. They are absolutely tone deaf to player feedback. I'd take two more seasons of prideful rather than having to finish this one out with thundering.
Honestly, My M+ Career started back in BFA ssn2 roughly, so i guess we've seen all the fair amount of utter crap Affixes, nothing will ever top how bad BFA SSN1's affix was, i cant' recall the name but we all remember it. Thundering isn't the worst affix, i'd say BFA ssn3 had a worst affix, the only downfall of this affix is how punishing it is if you miss your clear for it, but at the same time theres people clearing it instantly, granted while this makes it irrelevant to cause issues, it's also a massive damage loss, So i would prefer it if they made it so there's a 5second grace period where it can't be cleared, then after it can be, but other than that, dungeon tuning for some places, aren't good. Azure vault being up there along with RLP, I personally have been avoiding most keys because of awful affix mixes, and they're just miserable. I love M+ and i love playing it, i but this season has definitely weighed me down when it comes to m+, it's just, not fun tbh, BFA/SL dungeons were better, at least the original dungeon's, and i know some of nobody, absolutely nobody is even relatively looking forward to season 2 of DF for m+, the dungeon pool, at least the 4 dungeon's we're gonna have to do from DF, is just going to be straight miserable. Brackenhide, Halls of infusion, both of those are unnecessarily LONG dungeons and the mechanics are just beyond cancer. i hope they fix those places up even just a bit before ssn2, otherwise i prob wont play much past getting Keystone Hero
Make drums 25% again, no one should be forced to bring a lust class
Easiest solution to thundering affix for me is to do two things.1. Remove the stun component completely.2. Reverse the buff benefit completely. Meaning, the affix still lasts for 15 seconds but you only get the damage buff when you find a partner to clear with. So, the quicker you clear the more damage up time you get from the affix. If, there needs to be a negative effect from the affix maybe they could change it so there was a damage decrease (10%? Decrease) until you find a partner to clear with AND then it changes to a damage buff.
