Well this is just good. You do hard content you get the best gear and it all goes to same ilvl now and not just super rare items from last 2 bosses, nothing has been nerfed. Heroic raiding is nowhere near comparable to mythic raiding so there should be a bigger gap and crafted gear should never be bis so that's also good. I only think that m+ should have more ways of obtaining myth track gear, 1 shot per week which is completely rng from vault is not enough. They should either have the first +15 (old +25) or higher key you do every week guarantee you a myth track item or you should be able to upgrade hero track m+ loot to myth track by using vault bad luck tokens.
Over 1000 aspects crests to upgrade your myth track gear from 1 to 6 btw. At 12 crests per timed key. I really hope blizz adds a catch up for alts, it's the main reason I didn't really play alts in DF and it's going to be more than twice as much work in TWW
Idk what you’re complaining about, there’s a top tier for extreme players. Heroic gear is fine for 90% of players where it’s at. If we get a Myth from M+ great, if it’s never fully upgraded who cares.
I am personally happy about this change. The gearing felt way too efficient ever since S2 of DF. This change should streamline and lengthen character progression which is in the grand scheme of things is healthier for the season's lifespan. I am looking forward how the TWW season will feel with the time gating on the content Blizzard did. Clearing HC raid on release will be much more challenging and rewarding, considering m+ won't be available until the 17/18th of September and the only source of hero gear we can get will be HC raid. For a really long time Heroic raids were pretty insignificant apart from certain bis trinkets and "very rare" loots they introduced in DF. Tier sets are given so not mentioning it here, as you can get it 2 piece with ease through catalyst and achievement token. As someone who does Mythic raid I think it make sense that the highest ilvl gear you can get comes from mythic raids which is significantly harder than doing +10s, however I can see why people are upset with this. Especially if they do not patriciate in raids due to personal issues and/or for the required time commitment. I don't think it will affect "strictly m+ only" players that much as you still have easy access to myth track gear from vault but it will require couple extra weeks to get the sufficient crest to 6/6 those pieces and the pieces themselves ofc. Will also definitely hinder alt progression and maintaining alts will be a much less fun and lenient task to do.My point is; Having a slightly larger gap between people who does and don't do mythic raid is totally fine and will even out in a couple weeks. It is a bit controversial change, but I don't think its not all that bad as people make it out to be. I heard people complaining this change "completely" prevents them from pushing score which isn't necessarily true as you can still get fully myth tracked gear, but will take an extra few weeks to obtain them and upgrade them which isn't any different from now. A season last well over 5 months so you have plenty of time to peak and push or whatever you want to do. I think the issue is that people got too used to m+ being forced down your throat by blizzard as main source of gear and character progression. People just always see the negative side of things. If anything this change should give you an incentive to get into mythic raids. Blizzard is literally encouraging you to group play and join guilds to raid mythic with. I get it that some people don't like doing Mythic raids, but the same could be also said to m+. I am pretty sure there are plenty of people who doesn't do mythic raids simply because its not rewarding enough considering myth gear usually just a few ilvl above hero gear.
33 additional aspect awarding timed Mythic+ are needed in the season to max out gear with this change.
they should double the crest gains in general having to do 8 dungeons a week each season to keep up to date on crest cap burns ppl out after they have collected their hc/mythic track gear
All the people posting on this topic are looking for Participation Trophies.. if you cant do the content..then bounce. So 2 more tracks on mythic gear.. who *!@#ing cares.. If you cant do mythic raids.. then do heroic and deal with it.
Terrible change. Makes mythic raiding required
And people still wonder why Blizzard don't listen to their community. Because more than half of it can't even read the obvious: ONLY VERY RARE ITEMS HAVE 6 LEVEL FOR MYTH TRACK. Which means the other items still have 4, which means that there is the same as now. Also considering that more than half of the community has literally no idea how to play this game, literally begs the question: why in this world are they crying for gear, when them playing 5% better would actually compensate any damn change they will do to the gear. And no, you don't have to play this game as a second job for it to actually be capable of playing any class. You just have to use 2 active braincells while playing. There is also another thing to take into consideration: gearing was way too easy right now, to the point where me and my guild stopped after 5 weeks in both seasons as there was nothing more to do except playing for the vault, as we didn't plan any CE for these 2 patches. I recall there being times when a hard game was actually praised for being hard. Now people are like :"oh no, more than 4 buttons .. what I'm gonna do, it's way too hard. Pls nerf". Just because players get older, and they have less time/reflexes or whatsoever, doesn't mean the game has to become easier to adapt for them. It means they have to consider that they are no longer as good as they were in their prime, and that's it. Not everybody should have endgame gear, not everybody should have the best items. It's the damn reality.
L change
I think it's fine. There is basically 3 tiers of content, and the biggest group is the low tier noobs. Mythic raiding is the only thing worth having the best of the best. I guess vault too.
I feel more and more pushed away from doing Mythic+ content every time Blizzard has moved the goal posts, starting with Shadowlands. I'll still go for the mount achievement, but The War Within could very well be the first time since M+ was added that I'll not bother with grinding for gear and/or currency.
So now this just makes every myth item the exact same thing as the end boss rare items. Makes no sense for this to be reported as a fact.
This change sucks. Gearing through M+ was way too slow and grindy in DF, there's absolutely no need to make it even more slower. They should double amount of crests dropping from M+ to compensate for this change. And on top of that add alt catch up that increases about of crests dropping even further from all activities.
At first I disliked the change but after considering it more I think its good for the game.Currently it's way too easy to max out a character and have nothing left to progress for the remainder of the season. This helps stretch that process out. I do think they need to re-evaluate crafted gear though. As it stands, no one will want a crafted weapon that is 10 ilvls behind, unless the embellishments are stupidly over powered.
