I would enjoy seeing close-up photos of this. I can kind of squint and see it's really Lego, but not very clearly.
All he does is stealing art and pumping it into lego-art-remix(.)com to generate ready instructions, so kinda lame in my opinionEdit: He also doesnt mention any of the original creators in his shop, what a sad thing to do.
Not so impressive when you find out that there are programs out there that create the build list, what bricks to buy, and practically step by step instructions. >.>
People literally complain and whine about EVERYTHING. Pathetic.Good job.
I hope they have some instructions because I would love to try and make some of these.
So it's derivative. It's also not unique. Is scale modeling art? Is a faithful recreation of anything in any medium (photography, realism, etc) art? If the issue is the computer, is using Photoshop instead of hand-pixeling (get out that hex editor!) not art? Maybe, maybe not. Don't care. Why the need to crap on it?On a side note, I think I just had an idea for my kitchen backsplash. Now to convince the wife.
I for one applaud the maker of these. It's Lego and WoW combined. I like it. :-)Everything is a remix of something else. Deal with it, and move on.
Realise he's not just showcasing his work - he's charging $15 each for building instructions. In that light, there's a huge difference between crafting a good image yourself, adjusting an existing image until it comes out well, or throwing a dozen existing artworks against the wall and seeing what sticks.
made a portrait of Taliesin a while back, asmon is next https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJYZYxeFQMs

Tanner was an incredible artist and was just getting started in the world of Lego mosaics. He spent hours upon hours changing and redesigning popular characters and tweaking colors to make the images POP! He was truly genius in his artistic talents and had such a passion for Legos! Unfortunately he passed away 2 days before this article came out and he will forever be loved and missed! He was working on some true masterpieces which the world will now never get to see. But I know he is looking down and so happy to see the appreciation others have for his incredible talent. I sure hope Heaven has legos!❤️ Btw...some of his designs are still available on his shop as long as we still have access! We are starting a non profit in his honor to donate legos to the special needs individuals that he worked with and loved and all sales proceeds will go towards that goal.
