Big agree with the BM section. BM is generally in a great spot, with the only glaring weakness being the offensive CD. A big rework to Niuzao (or a new CD) would be the only major change I want. For MW, I get that some people want to focus more on the caster aspects of healing, but MW is currently coded as a melee spec for the purposes of boss mechanics and I think it is healthier for the game to have this clear distinction of 2 melee healers and other ranged healers. Enabling melee swings during Essence Font and Soothing Mists would help with this, but also encouraging the use of instant casts via soothing mists would balance the melee and caster aspects. My primary concerns however are that MW can talent out of smart healing particularly for ReM and AToM (or any similar Fistweave power). And even more important: please add a means of removing the dispell portion of Renewal. Managing dispels has become a common mechanic in recent raids (The Nine, Sylvanas, Halondrus, etc.) and having your primary healer CD be a mass dispell has caused a lot of accidental wipes for my guild. I don't want this functionality removed (I love it for the final boss of PF), but I just want it to be togglable. In the WW section I also agree with pretty much everything said. Personally, I would love for Serenity to be competitive since I hate the heavy focus on pet CDs for WW right now.
Warlords of Draenor BrM is way better than Legion/BFA/SL.I wish they would revert to more of the WoD Brewmaster. It was much better to playMonks need a ton more self sustain. Kegs of the Heavens helped some but still feels horrible.Stagger needs rework to drop immediately when combat is over. the whole 10 second thing is the dumbest iteration ever.Simplest fix. Combat ends. Stagger goes bye bye. Dizzying Haze needs to return as AoE Pull. Remove the slowExploding keg is horrendousHigh tolerance was always picked other talents in that row suckThere is so much wrong with Monk it just needs a complete redoThis new talent tree could be so good yet with how little choice you have now. You always take High Tolerance. You always take Chi wave. You always take bob and weave you can alter RJW will be default when Urh Relic goes away which makes Special Delivery OPBrews need Diffuse magic back as well though i suspect it will be available but to what cost. Stat wise stats are no fun either Haste has 0 value. Crit has been good with Keg of the Heavens and if that goes to away then back to ole Vers and Mastery.Chi explosion as a talent was fun Elusive Brawler was good and situational. Honestly again if they put Brew to WoD default and added in some extra stuff it would be perfect.
the lack of understanding the value of healing elixir for BM makes me doubt the validity of these opinions
I wish they would turn Dragon statue like Lily instead (Having a baby dragon pet following you doing the same effect) So it avoid player to always have to move it around. I also like its leggo fro legion where it would heal a second target. Also for wind I wish they would change the 7sec for Mana cost + Cost per sec and let you keep it as long as you want until you cancel it instead of having to spam it every time
I've never felt more vindicated than reading everyone else reject the idea of being forced into melee as a MW. If you wanna keep that style of play, go for it, but it should be an OPTION, not the default. Hell, make it a stance if you want, but I hate the idea of being railroaded into 'fistweaving.'Unrelated, but it would be cool to get a battle rez tho... just saying.
It's really funny to see you talk about talents that are rarely used, and then mentioned our most used talents for PvP. Still, my main #1 wish for MW in Dragonflight would be to get back Chi, I've not really enjoyed any iteration of MW post-Legion, when way of the crane got its big nerf, and would love a return to MoP or even WoD MW playstyles in PvP. So a rework of the spec to something we used to have + solo shuffle might actually bring me back to the game for longer than a few months at a time.
Re: Fallen Order (Venthyr)Fallen order is great and it suits the a darker theme'd monk just fine. There's nothing wrong with keeping this at all. No, it doesn't need to "stay in shadowlands".
I'd be happy if monk isn't the last class addressed for Dragonflight like I felt it was for SL. =/ Can that be a wishlist item? Also it's dumb, but I'd love to see some filler talents in the general tree about making crackling lightning more than a joke for BM and WW.
Lots of great ideas here. I do find myself having very different opinions and perspective on the mistweaver section but i see big potential with these windwalker ideas.
I love fistweaving, but I like that its a choice. Forcing the best option to be fistweaver would be a mistake.
As a non-fistweaver, the biggest thing on my wishlist is "stop designing fights where it just sucks to be a MW". I remember back in BfA when we were progressing Zul I really enjoyed planning out my TFT usage with Renewing Mist to have the maximum number overlapping right when the really big damage went out. It felt like you could heal anything as long as you used your tools correctly.SL I don't feel like I've have that same opportunity. There's just a ton of AoE healing to do all the time, and if you aren't fistweaving your toolkit just doesn't do a good job addressing AoE damage anymore. Essence Font and Vivify's AoE healing feel like they're just tickling your allies. Setting up a big Revival feels good, but the rest of the 3 minutes are pretty wretched. When every fight is throwing AoE damage everywhere willy nilly, the MW toolkit just doesn't feel good.I do also want to see cool talent changes, but really better raid design for healers needs to go along with whatever they do.
