I think the no new class is going to be the main gripe from the fan base. I am glad they are focused on making each current class better.
Where are so many typos in this article
Talwing pretty sure they meant Shadow Hunter as in Troll class, and Void rangers maybe referring to the Ren'dorei >.>
Same issue with Shadow Hunters to be honest, it's essentially a hunter using shadow magic - it brings nothing new to the table. It also has the same lore issues, only trolls are Shadow Hunters, it's a very racial strict class. Sure other horde races could be taught, but how to alliance access them?Ren'dorei are a race, not a class. They are nothing but high/blood elves who use void magic over arcane/fel/light magic. It isn't a class, and again using shadow/void magic is still a hunter, so at best, it's a hunter spec - Shadow Hunters for Horde, 'Void' Hunters for alliance. It's not a new class at all.The OP was trying to come up with new, viable classes. How do void/shadow/dark hunters even remotely link to the Shadowlands, which has nothing to do with the void? (Please don't confuse void/shadow magic and death magic, they are different)
No classes are themed for this expasion?Eh... well...Necromancer? Witch doctor? Runemaster? Dark Ranger? Maybe Scout? Conjurer? BARD (OH YEAH BOI, lets sing about the death of your enemies)? So difficult to think about it... and bring a really new life into the game... EVERY expansion without a new class was a disaster. If you need a help on making a new class, you should ask for your players Blizzard.FF14 bring some classes at mid of expansion, i hope blizzard copy this idea.
"Instead they're focusing a lot of time on everyone can be a Death Knight and new player customizations."Seriously. Why spend "a lot of time" on that. It shouldn't be prioritized over a class or class design. Who cares if allied races can now be DKs it doesn't change anything meaningful.
This never gets asked when professions are brought up. And honestly it’s because WoW hasn’t really grown in crafting systems especially in comparison to other MMOs:Why can one character not have all professions unlocked at once? Why can’t they reconsider this as they have done with class and race combinations?A brand new character for a new player would be far more immersed. It also makes a character feel more powerful. It doesn’t change things too massively especially when you consider how WoW has already made a more massive change like Alliance getting Shamans & Horde obtaining Paladins. Also, why can’t the design team seriously improve professions? There is very little skill cap or post profession max level excitement. Why can’t there be XP after max level that gets shown on character profiles? Imagine a fisher that’s the greatest in the world simply based on time input to fishing over others? Can we simply get competition between guilds and internally in a guild between members for rewards purely based on professions?WoW has lacked so heavily in growth of crafting systems. And people who play Mmos love games purely for crafting/Skilling systems, some just as much as bosses, raids, dungeons, etc.Every time professions get brought up, it’s never really given pressure to improve & it’s frustrating. :( I wish when she brought up professions she could have asked that.Otherwise, I loved this interview and all the questions!
Really don't know why everyone wants a new class so bad. They can't even keep the current classes fun or balanced.
Class changes is what should have been asked about. I know they don't have things ready now. But do they plan to change classes like in so many other expansions? Cause this time it's really needed..
Does anyone else not know what Mythic+ raiding is? Is just a raiders who also do Mythic+, or do they just mean Mythic raiding?
