Grats method on getting the clear another super fun race with a lot of good casts! I was very disappointed at the editing of pull counts. I was watching when they all of a sudden just pulled 20 off their total at one point.
Method got 3 WFs this xpac and Limit got 1, so calm down please. I won't say that Limit didn't deserve it as they played really well, but the new corrupted gear definitely changed some things, tanks shouldn't be doing 90-100k dps...this was by far the worst raid of the expansion and the easiest by the nr. of wipes, Method didn't have a single boss other than Nzoth over 100 wipes and most fights were really boring to watch.By far the biggest gripe tho was how bugged Nzoth was when Limit was doing it, that was legit stressful to watch and I can't imagine how it must've felt to live test that mess of a fight. Blizzard is slowly but surely taking the path of Bethesda...I have zero expectations for the next expansion.
Not sure why so many people get salty about this article, wowhead did the same thing when Limit claimed world second in previous raids many times over. Nothing new here.
I didn't cheer for limit OR method. I don't cheer for anyone during this over hyped manufactured event.I just think it's funny that method does all this advertising to watch the streams, visit the web site, buy the swag ;only to lose to limit. That being said, if you like to follow "the race" great keep it up. I'm not trying to diminish your fun or insult you as a person.
Regardless: can we just say how this new, and fierce rivalry between method and limit was born?
Lot of salty comments in here. Congrats to them, and to limit. It’s nice to see a competitive field, and particularly nice to see mmo’s having some spotlight for streaming :)
The pull count is completely irrelevant in all cases, anyway. Method uses a minimal pull strategy with a lot of down time to talk tactics, Limit use more of a chain pull strategy to force muscle memory. In a comparitive stretch of time on one boss Limit will always have more pulls.
2nd place is really 1st place loser.
they show the whole comp for methods kill but not limits on the actual world first kill post?
This race was all about "who gets the better corruption". There was the corruption chance, the type of corruption, the rank of the corruption.... jes, so much rng involved. If you watched both guilds streaming, you knew they mastered the mechanics early into pulls, it was all about numbers and dps later, and what exists to fill the void? Oh yes, corruption, which is...ugh, random.
