Just make sure that they STAY in pvp, please make them useless in pve content hated seeing people equip pvp gear than que for normal or heroic raids.
I think they are overthinking things.I would just throw a flat 10% Versa boost as the set bonus in PvP areas, and balance PvP around having that set aswell. That would mean 10% more damage/healing and 5% reduced damage taken. I can't see any PvE trinket that would make you sacrifice that boost.
delete PvE trinkets in PvP and ok
Almost as good as having 1 Trinket which prevents your death + heals you to full hp... wait no. Dunno how often people have to repeat it ... disable PvE Trinkets in PvP...
This is a welcome change. I don't think people understand what's even going on?Okay, so you get PVP gear from PVP. All PVP gear has Versatility on it. There isn't any PVP gear without it.Glad trinket is no longer a pvp talent, it's a PVP gear trinket. When you have 2 PVP trinkets, you get this buff: Versaility effectiveness increased by 40%So if you're in pvp gear and doing pvp, you're stronger than someone in pve gear doing pvp. This makes it so people won't wear PVE trinkets in arena/battlegrounds.I think 40% is way better than 20.And thank god it only works in pvp content. Vers is my best stat as a rogue, so I'd carry this stuff into dungeons and raids if it simmed high enough (Which, 40% more of your best stat sounds really good). Wonderful change for pvp gear.
no one is going to pick 40% bonus of X for versatility over a cool trinket that does X effect. 40% is a cool thing but as many of us can all agree, they can grey those jokers out while engaged in combat with other players. Crap like skulker's is not going to be passed over someone that gained 4% more versatility. There are a lot of very cool trinkets out there on beta, It would be even cooler for them to be obtainable through pvp as well. Our trinkets are just sorry as crap from pvp.
Please tell me they dont work in pve ...
Needs to be a 400% buff to compete with PvE trinkets. How is a 40% vers bonus going to compete with a raid trinket that actually one shots you?
I dont know if just increasing the bonus resulting from 2 pvp items solves anything. This results only in a choice between pvp or pve trinkets. If they are on par then you will still be able to pvp equally as a 100% pve geared char. Keep in mind the gearing process through raids is faster. Also this bonus is only good if you actually have versatility. Otherwise it does nothing. So stacking versatility will be mandatory in pvp. If you cannot do this then its better to simply use pve trinkets. Hopefully one of the trinkets gives a ton of versatility in addition.Im still convinced that a real pvp stat is needed like resi. The difference between having it or not was huge. Or at least add in addition some bonus to pvp gear. So that those with pvp gear have some additional little advantage. But well i think blizzard still wants players to be able to pvp with pve gear as well as those with pvp gear.
Versatility also affects the amount of healing players do so I'm interested to see if this bandaid solution creates more problems than it solves. I don't personally think versatility has had a positive impact on pvp or the game in general, and the entire game would be way easier to balance if the stat was simply removed in favor of a pvp-specific stat (namely, resilience).
Why doesn't it also increase the defensive benefit of versatility?
