It's about time!
YAS
I hope the new worgen models have a tail option, at least one bristly fur tail to complete the wolfish, cunning yet sophisticated silhouette. I know they don’t have them, but seeing as Goldrinn has one, they could have one - and it’s simply that some do and some don’t (player choice and not lore breaking in any way). It would make me very much like to play a worgen. They just look like they should have a tail, especially when they move, walk or run. With a worgen’s ferocious yet refined look and with the shape of their backs, legs and wolfish demeanor and silhouette, they look like they should have a tail to accompany their structure. Their model looks incomplete without one. I'd love a tail option, please, blizzard! there are lots of never-before options being implemented that, while none require explanation, have been explained that simply the race could have always had these features; different skin tones, varying tail lengths, new eye colors, and many more examples, and it's simply that blizzard is just now implementing them. While blood elves may have always had the possibility of spanning the range of human-colors throughout their culture and history, it's simply that blizzard is just now getting around to adding their non-lore-breaking colors into the game. Meaning, worgen, or some worgen, could have always had tails and it's simply that blizzard is just now getting around to including them. There's no lore saying they can't or shouldn't, therefore, tails could very well be a seamless addition.I hope the new worgen models have a tail option, at least one bristly fur tail to complete the wolfish, cunning yet sophisticated silhouette. Seeing as Goldrinn has one, they could have one - and probably should have one - it seems more appropriate for them to have tails than to not. They have most of the wolf features' ears, teeth, snout, hind legs, paws, claws, fur, etc, so omitting the tail throws their models off and makes them look like they're missing something. And as an option, it’s simply that some do and some don’t (player choice and not lore breaking in either way) therefore players who don't want them don't have to and players that do, can. Similar to pandaren tails, and to many other options. It would make me very much like to play a worgen. They just look like they should have a tail, especially when they move, walk or run.I made a worgen for the first time a while back, never knowing they didn’t have tails. I was shocked when I found out they didn’t, and then a disappointment instantly set in. As my character walked around, his animations looked as though he should have a tail. He looks incomplete without one. A bristly / spiky tail option would be all that’s needed for players who want to complete their wolfish look and feel. Goldrinn has a tail, so not only do I think it would be fine lore-wise to include some worgen with tails, I think it would be more appropriate. At least to have a tail option or two. Perhaps a bushy / mangy one and a bristly / spiky one, and a battle-torn one for the more ruff-n-tumble - with bits of missing fur. I can only see this enhancing the models, encouraging the happiness of the playerbase who would prefer for their worgen to have a tail, and add to the customization options which all races need improvements in.I could see some bristly tails, with bits of spiky fur, slightly curved before touching the ground. Or maybe a damaged tail, war-torn, bandaged or sporting a patch of missing fur. Or other types that offer scruffy, handsome, soft, bushy, mangled, bandaged, spiky, refined, or one with a fancy silk/victorian bow. At least one default tail option would be so nice to have, so that those who would love to embrace the wolfish theme, could do so all the more. I can picture the tail’s slight bounce and sway animations as the worgen run, walk or leap. Or whip as they battle. Immersion is key to to engagement within a fantasy game, and our models can strengthen our immersion and our bond with our character. I actually always thought they had one until I made a worgen for the first time a while back, and realized there was no option. I wondered why and thought there must be a lore reason but there's not. The ferocious yet sophisticated and tragic yet good-willed people and models that I was drawn to, aesthetically and culturally, at least the male model which I made and played - with their hunched but ready stance, their shadowy posture and lupine yet elegant mannerisms, their wolfish silhouette - felt like there was something missing from their medley of untamed features. I think their models would benefit from having at least a single tail option. it could be easily explained, if even necessary to explain at all, that simply some have them and some don’t. or if needed, perhaps the writers through deeper storytelling can offer us a glimpse into this added customization (such as dark eyes for night elves) and would be a fun way to explore the Gilnean / worgen story, as their very presence gifts and strengthens the races of wow with their signature dark yet pleasant atmosphere.I could definitely see a tail befitting them and enhancing their models and adding the the overall worgen aesthetic. I would certainly play my worgen much more often as it would no longer feel like part of him is missing, and it would complete what I feel he should look like. Nothing worse than playing a toon who looks like part of him is missing. And as everyone seems to be saying, more options are never a bad thing - and in a situation where lore truly isn't an obstacle, a tail could be such an enriching inclusion.
As wonderful as that sounds, as a worgen, and tauren, warrior, I really just want them to go through the armor and make it look right on our characters. Between helms that float above my face, to boots that flat out disappear in worgen form, it's kind of a bummer.
I like this, but I do not want a tail for my worgen. To me it wouldn't look right. If they ever give in to people's demands for tails they need to make them optional. I've never seen a werewolf with a tail, unless it becomes completely a wolf. Worgen are basically werewolves, they don't need tails.
Mamma mia! :D
This was legit the only reason I refused to play worgen lol now...I can start working on one again
Unfortunately as of the pre-patch, although there is a separate area in the barber shop for each, when you change one the other still changes. Additionally, it doesn't seem to allow you to "save" and pay for the changes when in human form. Likely a bug, but worth noting if you came here wondering why this is. Hopefully will be fixed soon.
