I wonder at what price it will start on the BMAH.
Oh well! It's a useful but an expensive mount!
Why would I waste 5 mln gold on a mount? I already made a mistake and bought the spider from Legion for 2 mln and it was very stupid of me.
ha ha now Blizzard will probably add another equally-expensive mount to replace this one. Sigh.
Bought it literally on the release date. Had a lot of gold lying around from 30 alts Garrisons and Class Halls, from WoD and Legion. I never regreted it, it's my favorite mount in the game and I love it so, so very much!
Mount is fine, price is fine. Removing it from the game, was not fine. That's my perspective.-But I also vote for never removing any content, to keep it rare or exclusive. Because the product, in this case wow, gets lowered everytime you remove something.Take the Black scarab mount e.g.When they removed it from the exsisting game, a lot of players got very sad about it. So sad that some started exploiting the game in various ways. Some people moved to newly opened realms with prepared mats to get it, leaving a whole community behind who tried obtaining it the right way. Other people figured out it could be duped with various exploits, like paid transfer characters to their own account, which they did not have authorised access to, then moving the character back to the original account. -simply by changing the name of the account holder, to be the same as on your personal account. Then change all the info back again. Essentially abusing a system where you paid for the transfer services. Other people again, figured out that the process of claiming old accounts to your battle net account had flaws in them, allowing people to claim other people's account as their own. And get all the rewards from it, achievements, mounts, pets, transmogs etc.Basically anyone who got scarab lord title or mount, after 2006, got it by exploiting in one way or another. All of which in essence de-valued the game as a whole, because of a removed item. At the same time they deter new players from joining the game, because of cool iconic items are unobtainable.
I agree with most of what you say, since in-game success should have NOTHING to do with IRL funding/trading/abuse of systems etc. The"But if an item isnt limited"-part though, I do understand the point of view, to which I just dont agree. I personally don't think removing items at all, is a good thing ever. But that has other problems comming with it, I realize that.
